IBS flare up and miscarriage link?

I've posted this on the pregnancy thread but it occurred to me it might be more appropriate to discuss here.

This is probably quite niche but I'm just wondering if anyone who has had miscarriages has noticed their IBS symptoms suddenly flare up prior to their loss?
I had 2 MMC last year which were discovered at early scans, one of the only things I noticed that may have been a signal that things weren't going right was a sudden flare up of trapped wind/nausea/loose stool right around the time the babies would have stopped developing. From research, IBS tends to get worse when progesterone levels drop. I'm asking as I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant but last week I had the familiar trapped wind/headache/flare up when baby would have been 7+ 5 which seems to be where things tend to go wrong for me :(

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hi there, I also have ibs , previous loss and I'm currently 8 weeks.
From what I've read the evidence seems divided.
I did have a really bad flare up during my last loss and the pain my bowels was horrendous. However I will say I had a very bad flare up around 5 weeks this time which is when I had my previous loss , very similar symptoms extreme bowel cramping and trapped gas. Around that time I also lost my pregnancy symptoms and feared the worst. I had a scan on Thursday tho and baby's heart is still beating away.
It may be a coincidence. When your body is going through stress such as a miscarriage its likely to cause flares up. Remember miscarriages don't always happen immediately . It can take days / weeks for some before loss occurs and it maybe your body was recognising this and caused the flare up. I don't think there's been any definitive proven link that ibs causes miscarriage

Thanks for replying. As I mentioned in my post I've had two missed miscarriages so I'm sadly very aware miscarriages don't always happen straight away. Last had a scan at 7+1 when everything was fine and heartbeat was good but flare up happened not too shortly afterwards so difficult not to think the worst with my history.

@Justanotherdobby try not to stress yourself.
I had really convinced myself that even if baby was still there I don't see how it could survive the severe inflammation I was experiencing in my intestines and bowels but everything was fine. I hope things go well with this pregnancy for you
