New ivf protocol

Hi all,
We are planning to undergo our second round of IVF in Jan.
Our previous round I was prescribed pergoveris 225. We collected 6 eggs, 5 mature, 4 fertilised by ICSI, 1 blastocyst which wasn’t successful.

Last time I took down reg medication for the last week of my previous cycle. I’ve just had a call with the nurse and this time the doctor is not prescribing any down reg and to take rekovelle 20mg. She’s also prescribed aspirin and prednisolene which I understand is an anti inflammatory pill. I’m googling as well as asking questions to the nurse to gain context decisions for this protocol.

But I wondered if anyone had any experience of pergoveris vs rekovelle. I understand each case is different but just trying to build some understanding of these medications.

oh additional context - I’ve just turned 35. Amh was around 12 last year but it’s around 5 now :( .. I also did 3x iui cycles where I was on gonal F.

I'm no help as haven't started treatment yet but will be starting in the new year. Our consultant last week said there is a national shortage of the daily down regulation injections - not sure if that's what you had last time. I will be having one injection that will last me for four weeks instead of the daily ones. No idea what the name of it is though as don't think he said. Not sure if this is helpful but could be a reason that it's changed?

I had Rekovelle I didn't respond well to it. Was expected about 10 eggs but I only got 3 eggs, 1 blast 3BC which failed.
Think combination of drug and lower dose. They suggested Pergoveris for my second round as it's meant to be better for poor responders (what they thought I was due to poor response to Rekovelle). However after the blood test to check the the response they found that wasn't the case and I went for menopur instead. I got 10 eggs and 4 blasts. Failed transfer of the lowest quality one 3BC and I'm pregnant with my 5AB via a FET (I've got a frozen 4AB and a 4BB still frozen).

Thanks @thirtyandmore good to know. I’m pleased I’m not on down reg- I don’t think that agreed with me. Best of luck with your treatment.
