Hello,

Anyone else on clomid/letrozole with PCOS and not fallen pregnant in the 6 months of taking clomid/letrozole.

Or any positive pregnancies with pcos and clomid/letrozole?

Be glad to hear others stories as struggling myself

@Cloverhoof1234 Hey. I have just started Clomid 50mg, and on my first cycle. Period is due around 1st March (really hoping it doesn't come) !! I have been trying for around 1 year 6 months now and nothing. I'm 36, I have had all tests done, but it came back that I was low in Progesterone, so my consultant put me on 3 months Clomid, and if unsuccessful I will do IVF (hoping it doesn't come to that)

When I had a scan back in July 2023 to check everything was in tact down there, I had a cyst which they said was on the outside of my ovaries, and nothing to worry about. But when I went for my scan recently (to check the clomid is working) they said the cyst was still there and had got bigger and to stop clomid until it's looked at again!

Without sounding horrible, it's a really draining process isn't it, it's almost like loads of obstacles are put in the way! Just as I think I'm getting somewhere starting Clomid, they are now telling me to stop because of the cyst, that they claimed was ok 6 months ago!

My sister in law had PCOS and was on Clomid, she fell pregnant on first cycle. And my auntie had a cyst (similar to mine) and was also low in Progesterone, and she also fell pregnant first time taking clomid - so yes there is hope! We just gotta keep trying!

I start clomid after a Hycosy this period cycle. Although only on day 7 but i don't ovulate. so fingers crossed it works! It always feel like one challenge after another.

My clinic said it's 10% a chance a month of it working which felt rather disheartening... but it is lovely to hear positive stories on here.

did anyone have any side affects? Just want it to be CD 30 already.z

@babybum @Optimistic66 hope your cycles go well.

I've been on the LOCI trial so don't know whether I had clomid or letrozole. It worked in the fact that it regulated my cycles but haven't fallen pregnant. No side affects to point up other that hot flushes but was manageable.

Keep us posted on your cycles and look forward to hearing some positive news.

I fell pregnant naturally one month after dye test but miscarried . I then went onto clomid and ovulated on every cycle of clomid but unfortunately just no pregnancy. Currently 19 weeks via ivf

I’m on my second cycle of letrozole after 32 cycles of TTC (no medical support until last cycle other than blood tests). I’m trying to be hopeful but not in la-La-fairy-land either. It’s starting to affect our sex life too. Infertility sucks.

Hows things with you all ?

Found this thread when searching pcos

Anxious30Something · 29/08/2024 12:09

Starting my first cycle with Clomid today after PCOS confirmed this month. Been trying for nearly 2 years, 2 miscarriages so hoping this will be it! 🤞🏻 is anyone else using Clomid? Any experiences to share?

Have you been on Letrozole before ?

What reason did they give for offering clomid ?
, ( i ask partly as i have pcos and havent been offered clomid yet)

Anxious30Something · 06/09/2024 08:44

@worldwidetravel2017 I went private and they gave me the option of Metformin or Clomid. What’s Letrozole?

Letrozole helps people with pcos regulate their cycles.
Helps regulate ovulation.
Apparently for some / most it helps progsterone too

Common in pcos patients to have low progsterone

Do u take daily extra vit d ?

Sorry to hear of your losses

Have u asked your gp to refer you to tommys baby charity miscarriage clinic ?

You are entitled to progsterone as soon as you next get a positive test

Anxious30Something · 09/09/2024 13:01

Good to know! I haven’t asked for a referral, my GP aren’t too interested tbh! Will see how these cycles with Clomid go first.

Do figure out if your progsterone is low.
Test 7 days after ovulation
I recommend using randox health
