MFI/Failed ICSI x3/considering TESE?

Hi everyone,

i would like some advice for those of you who have tried the TESE route.

background: X3 failed ICSI. Quality problem has been evident as high fertilisation rates yet producing 0 blasts in each cycle.

Our issues are MFI. Hubby had average of 27-32 motility during tests and less than 1% morphology. After the cycle failures we went to JRamsay for oxidative stress and DNA fragmentation (45% good sperm). We were given antibiotics which did not seem to make much of a difference to the DNA fragmentation.

I am now considering asking for TESE in my next round. My current consultant (we are cycling abroad) is not keen on TESE and feels this will not make much of a difference for us.

anyone have any advice on TESE? Has it made a difference for anyone in a similar boat?

Hi @Uknownothing — haven't gone through TESE ourselves but thinking about it as partner has high DNA fragmentation. Did you go through with TESE?
