IVF - Period 5 days post egg retrieval

I had my egg retrieval on Thursday (it’s now Tuesday) and today I went to the toilet and it’s like my first day of period. No warning just full flow. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?? I had the usual spotting post retrieval. We are doing a freeze all cycle so no fresh transfer this month. I am waiting a call from the clinic so I will ask then but thought I’d see others experiences!

I had the exact same, I had EC on Wednesday and started my period on Sunday. Was very confused!

Spoke to the nurse yesterday and she said its pretty normal due to the meds we were given prior to EC. I had a Buserelin trigger. I think the lack of progesterone had something to do with it too.

Totally normal, especially if not triggered with HCG.

Thank you! I hope yours did too. I too am enjoying the break , however thought I’d have some more time until my period stole my joy!! We hear about our embryos tomorrow so fingers crossed! I hope you got some in the freezer :)
