What blastocyst grades did you get?

Just wondering what grades of embryo people got from their cycles. I'm interested to know whether most people get AA, AB, BA, or whether it's usual to have more/mostly Bs and Cs in theren with just a few As if you're lucky!

Hi, I think grades vary on a lot of things, also, top quality doesn't always mean a successful pregnancy.

On my first cycle we had 1 x 5bb, this implanted but ended in miscarriage the second was a 4bb which failed to implant.

On our second cycle we managed 5 x 5 day blastocysts, all I was told is that 2 were top quality with the other 3 lower graded at 5bb, 4bb and 3bb. We implanted the 2 top quality which I assumed were A's, implantation failed. The fourth transfer we used the 5bb and I'm now 21 weeks pregnant.

I've known women on here who have implanted top grades which have failed, yet their lower grade C's was successful. Try not to get to worry on the grades, if your body is ready and the embryo is healthy then it will happen :)

5BC & 3CC
Currently 5 weeks pregnant
I don't think they have any bearing on success. They are just FREEZING GRADES.
I've known plenty of women fail with top grades and success with poor quality (myself being one)

2bb - untested, implanted but lost
3bb - euploid, did not implant
5aa - untested, did not implant

😔

Thanks! I'm waiting for a transfer next week of a 4bc and have been told my odds are about 25% but was just wondering what is a normal grade to get!

I've also heard that the AAs are more likely to be boys and BBs girls, but not sure if that's accurate.

Sorry to hear about that @4thcyclelucky . Are you planning another cycle soon?

@CycleGirl20 Yes, well I’m exploring options and wanting a second opinion before I decide what to do next. I think a lot of us are stuck with a clinic once we start with them and I feel that I’ve now done 2 transfers with the same clinic and they didn’t listen to me when the first transfer failed (re. What I thought was done differently under NHS).

Good luck with your transfer next week!

4BC and 2BC from the same cycle. Both day 6 blasts.

Will be transferring both later this month. My consultant hasn't given too much hope for them given they're day 6 but they were still good enough to freeze so worth a go ☺️ x

I got a 5AA (currently 20 weeks pregnant)
I also have two 5AB which have been frozen
