Transfer 5day blastocyst on day 6 morning

I just took my trigger shot yesterday. I have a 4bc 5 day blastocyst waiting to be transferred. The problem is, day 5 would be Sunday. So transfer day is now set for 11:30am on Monday.

I'm now worrying that I should cancel this cycle as done googling shows that transferring on day 6 significantly lowers the chance of success. The studies I've read seem fairly mixed though. Some find a significant reduction, some nothing.

It's also hard to know because I usually stay cycle day 1 on the first full day of my period, because it usually starts in the evening. But this time it started in the morning so I counted that as day 1. Had it started a few of hours later then cd1 would be a day later and this would be a 5 day transfer.

Is it just a case of there always being something or other like this and you'd never go ahead of not. Or would you cancel?

My best opportunity to transfer remaining frozen blastocysts is probably February if that helps. And I live abroad where they freeze most of them on day 1 and only grow to day 5 or 6 before transferring, so I have frosties I just front know what grade!

Hi, i was in similar position a few weeks back. I miss understood instructions and started a day later progesterone, when embryologist call to inform that embryo thaw was successful I mentioned that and they told me to come a day later for my transfer.
In my case was the lucky one as the embryos started hatching and expanding more. Had my first ever BFP🤭
still early days but I believe that one extra day gave them the chance to expand and be ready!
lots of baby dust your way🩵

@CB2805 thanks that's really helpful, the bit about the progesterone. I'm now starting to wonder if I'll be 5dpo on Monday having taken the trigger yesterday and I'll begin progesterone on Thursday. It sounds like when you start the progesterone matters

Yes I think you have to get 5days of progesterone prior the transfer? But I don’t know more about timings
