I’m hoping someone has some advice on this šŸ¤žšŸ»
currently 6 weeks pregnant from IVF. Been having symptoms of nausea fatigue sore boobs itchy skin and constant cramps that keep moving around.
I currently take progesterone 400 x 3 times a day, been taking since before transfer.
yesterday when inserting the pessaries with the applicator stick I saw slight brown discharge in the mucus on the stick, not a lot but enough to worry me. I called the clinic and they did not seem worried and advised to insert with fingers instead as it may just be irritation from the stick, however brown means old so not a concern.
it’s the exact same today however have a lot of cramps and some mild low back ache. Everything I read with the discharge and back combined points to miscarriage! Scan isn’t until 24th November…I’m terrified!!

I found the pessaries also irritated me. I didn't have cramps but did have some spotting. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant. Try to be calm. I know it's hard x

I didn’t have any spotting but definitely had loads of cramps first few weeks. I’ve seen loads of posts where people have spotted and it’s all been fine so stay positive

I had this on and off throughout the first trimester of my IVF pregnancy too. My clinic were never particularly bothered by it so I never got to the cause of it but it just stopped one day and now I have a very energetic 3yo!

My anxiety was through the roof but week by week it did get easier and I managed to start to enjoy my pregnancy. Wishing you all the best x

Hi!! Honestly I’m trying…google is awful 😢 the discharge has stopped tonight. Cramps have been constant all day. My OH keeps telling me everything is fine and normal, I’m only looking at negatives. It’s really hard to see the positives after our last cycle end with a chemical pg. Right now I have no cramps or sore boobs so I’m going to hopefully enjoy the downtime and sleep 😓 let’s see what tomorrow brings. Nobody tells you this wait is worse than the 2ww šŸ™ˆ

Congratulations on your pregnancy lovely 🄰 I used the pessaries on our last cycle but never had the brown discharge then, however I only took them twice a day whereas this time it’s three. All cramps and discharge seem to have stopped right now

I had this up to about 8 weeks. If it stays brown and light it's probably nothing to worry about (easier said than done). My pregnancy continued fine with no issues. Hope all continues well for you.

I had this and also red blood but all was fine, hope all goes well at your scan OP

@Ivfnewbie1 hello & congrats on your BFP! I have had exactly the same as you over the last few days and spoke to my clinic today. They said the same as yours… so I am going to try to not use the applicator and see what happens. The nurse said it’s very common…. That definitely doesn’t make it any easier! Totally agree with you that the wait until the 7 week scan is worse than the TWW. Xx

Ivfnewbie1 · 13/11/2023 13:59

Congratulations on your BFP too LF82 🄰 it seems to have stopped today so I think maybe it was irritation šŸ¤žšŸ» cramps still here but I’ve had them since day dot, some days harsher than others. I think the biggest worry is the progesterone will mask a miscarriage and so I won’t bleed. What I think I fear the most is getting to the scan next week to find the little bean stopped growing 😢 good luck with your pregnancy lovely 🄰 x
