Hi,
We had our LO 18 months ago via IVF on the NHS so we are familiar with the process but we have just kickstarted our start for no 2 and have an initial consultation today for a private round. I’m not really sure what to ask/what to be asking?! Obviously we had loads of questions first time around but thankfully our round was for the most part uneventful and we ended up with our LO first time.

Me and my husband are both 30. Generally fit and well although I have overweight BMI. Nothing came from tests last time except low morphology(4%) on husbands side which they weren’t concerned with. Only issue that came up was that we got 8 mature eggs but only one fertilised normally, 6 were abnormal and 1 didn’t. Our 1 became a lovely 5ab and then our LO. Straight forward protocol, we didn’t tweak plan or anything. No extras.
We are using a different clinic due to having moved since we did on NHS.

im going to ask about the fertilisation point as we never got an answer on why that may be and pricing obviously (will probs end up using Gaia).
any other standard questions I’m missing?

Thanks!

Hi @LS2020 we we’re in a similar position earlier this year- just completed our 2nd private round (1fet 1 fresh) unfortunately both failed but our first resulted in DD now 19months old ❤️ we didn’t really ask too many questions due to it working first time- they just said that they would keep everything the same as it seemed to have worked- which in my inexperience seemed logical. I am waiting for my consultation now after this failure and will defo try and think of some questions to ask- sorry not much help but wishing you the best of luck!
