As I was replying I realised the thread has reached the limit.
I thought I'd create a new thread for us all to keep in touch.

I am so sorry to hear your update @Lauralozzle . I am headed for same outcome; today is 6dp5dt and no sign of a positive (I have been testing everyday). I am due my period tomorrow so from the last 2 cycles, i know how this ends. I will get my period tomorrow or day after and the cycle has failed.

I am absolutely drained emotionally and cant stop crying. This is the third failed cycle for us and nothing left in freezer (we had no embryos this time from fresh round so used up the 1 frozen one from last round).

Millie89xx · 13/11/2023 12:06

@Melisss I’ve eat so so healthy right through this from 2 weeks before injections so I’ll keep up with that but I have had the odd choccy or biscuit all balance isn’t it. I’m deffo having maccies after though 🥰🤞 god I’m so nervous for this but excited is it a nice experience do you get a little pic of the embryo

Rosesinbloom19 · 13/11/2023 12:32

@Millie89xx i had maccies after egg collection and transfer 🤣🙋🏻‍♀️ enjoy! And yes I got a little screen shot of the embryos going in 🩵🩷 it’s now pride of place on the fridge! 🤞🏻 also actually LOL everytime I walk past it as just how massive and full my bladder is! 🤣🤣 hope your not too uncomfortable! Xx

Melisss · 13/11/2023 12:32

@Millie89xx of course, do whatever works best for you 🙂 It is exciting, try and enjoy every minute.
I did get a little picture with where they put the little embryo but I don't really understand it 😅 it's just lines and shapes.

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 12:40

@LuckyPineapple ah sorry for the confusion. It dosent matter which you tag, I'll still see its for me.
I just had my bloods done.
Gp did my hcg and progesterone although I had to beg more or less for my progesterone as she was reluctant to test it. Fertility clinic gave me progesterone up until last Friday but they haven't did any bloods themselves to check my levels which is weird . I would have thought they'd be checking everything looks ok

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 13:08

@User491 ah those 2 days will probably feel like forever won't they

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 13:13

@Melisss 😆 yes I got a little scan pic too of my embaby. I felt like that moment in friends when Rachel had her baby scan and couldn't see anything. The embryo looks like a little tiny white dot

Millie89xx · 13/11/2023 13:17

@Melisss thatl be me I’ll have it upside down !!!
@MoonlightDreamer ahhh I’m so excited I’ve nearly drank a litre and feel ok now my app isn’t til 1.45 so I’ve got a wait yet don’t want to be in pain

Melisss · 13/11/2023 13:17

@MoonlightDreamer hahahah this made me laugh 😂It is exactly like that scene. I am saying it is in one place and my partner is saying it is somewhere else

4thcyclelucky · 13/11/2023 13:17

@CDiamond I too am out I think..
waiting to hear back re. Beta results but I had been testing since 5dp5dt.. today is 9pt. I think you have a few more days yet though.. so hang in there a bit more.

This was my 3rd transfer. I have 3 frozen but am contemplating going to Prague for another collection.. I told my doctor about my prolactin levels and he didn’t think it affects anythng.. I have read that it heightened prolactin level will prevent implantation.

Cant remember who else was in the TWW as of 4th Nov, hope it’s better news!

NewBee21 · 13/11/2023 13:36

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately it didn't work for us😞 I tested negative on Friday and my period started today. So the ClearBlue from Amazon were definitely false positive.

I still have two embryos in the freezer, but decided to wait until January to give myself some time to emotionally recover.

Now I am thinking what I can do to give myself the best chance in January. My clinic does transfer without ultrasound, is that normal? I’ve read that the chances with assisted transfer are better. Also I don’t remember them testing my Progesterone levels or anything else before the transfer happened. Are there any tests your clinic did for you?

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 13:50

@4thcyclelucky sorry to hear that. I hope you still get good news.
I tested at 9dp and negative. I then got my bfp at 11dp5dt with a 5 days early test.

Melisss · 13/11/2023 13:54

@NewBee21 sorry to hear this 😔I hope you are looking after yourself as best as you can given the situation.
I did not have any tests done before transfer either. The no utrasound for the transfer sounds strange, how do they know where they placed it? Maybe i`m being silly and it is kind of a normal practice.

@CDiamond maybe it is still early for the test? I think some of the ladies on here tested positive after 9 days.

@4thcyclelucky sorry to hear that 😔I know it is a hard moment

4thcyclelucky · 13/11/2023 13:56

@MoonlightDreamer Thanks, your post made me smile and I am holding onto a bit of hope until 3pm today, that's when they call me. I do not feel anything currently though, no sore boobs, no bloatedness, even the progesterone symptoms have gone. I have put on 2-3kilos although unsure if that is just water retention weight.

@NewBee21 I havent heard of transferring without first checking lining, which clinic is that? I would insist they check all is well before attempting anything on those precious frozen embryos!

At my first transfer under NHS, they checked my prolactin levels and I was given small dose of bromocriptine to manage that. My first fresh transfer implanted but lost a week after. I have asked my current clinic to look into that but they didn't and are reluctant. I will ask that again at my next consultation session. I havent had my endometrium checked for fragments, so that might be the next step..

Millie89xx · 13/11/2023 14:40

@Melisss mine didn’t use a ultra sound neither 👀

Millie89xx · 13/11/2023 14:44

I didn’t have no checks neither and straight in … some clinics are different not all have the same practice

Melisss · 13/11/2023 14:53

I think I misunderstood, if we are talking about the vaginal ultrasound then I didn`t have that either before the transfer 😝

Millie89xx · 13/11/2023 15:04

@Melisss i think some clinics do the transfer whilst having an internal scan so you can see if on screen did you see that ? I didn’t just seen embryo on the screen then it went straight in 🤞 just had my maccies home for feet up now and relax all night

User491 · 13/11/2023 15:06

@NewBee21 so Sorry to hear your news,

My first wasn't with an ultrasound, but this time they did. I found it very strange the first time they didn't, I wondered how they knew where to put the embryo. It worked though, but ended in a miscarriage.
My clinic didn't do any bloods, but they checked my lining before transfer.

@CDiamond so sorry you're going through this but 6dp is still early. I pray your period stays away and you get some positive news 🤞🏻

@MoonIightDreamer I know! I think I'm going to test tomorrow, husband has agreed 😂 now I'm having second thoughts 🙈
I can't understand why hcg and progesterone isn't just a standard test for everyone! I bought a do it at home progesterone test. I've not done it just yet, I have extra pessaries from my last failed round.
I blamed my progesterone for the miscarriage first cycle as I bled not long after stopping them, but my clinic won't prescribe them unless I bleed this time (if we get a positive) my plan is to do the home blood test and push my GP for extra pessaries if it's on the low side.

@4thcyclelucky im so sorry your testing negative. I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Millie89xx · 13/11/2023 15:14

@Hopingforno2in2023 how did your transfer go ?

@NewBee21 I’m really sorry to hear your news !!!

@MoonlightDreamer ooooh how exciting for test date do you feel any different ??

Melisss · 13/11/2023 15:24

@Millie89xx i could see the screen because the nurse was pressing on my tummy with the scan thing. So I saw the catheter when she put in it and then she said to watch for the embryo but I didn`t see anything. My partner thinks he might have seen something but he is not sure 😅

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 15:25

@Millie89xx
I definitely felt really different starting a few days after my transfer. Yesterday and today I haven't had any symptoms tho. That combined with the fact I've had really severe cramps is why I'm concerned. I'm still getting positives on tests though so I'm hoping that's a good sign

LuckyPineapple · 13/11/2023 15:26

@MoonIightDreamer I'm not sure my clinic tests progesterone at this stage either. They have me on it until 11 weeks all being well 🙏🏻. I think it was just a HCG test today.
My tests today are darker which was a relief to see... must be something in that at 13dp5dt. Does HCG only rise every 48 hours? I think I've heard this

@Millie89xx @Hopingforno2in2023 I hope transfers went well and you have sticky embabies 🙏🏻

@User491 Thank you! The spotting sounds promising. Good luck 🤞🏻

@4thcyclelucky @CDiamond don't count yourself out yet. It's still early. I think there can be a lot of pressure to see positives early on but sometimes that line shows up later than expected.

@NewBee21 I'm sorry to hear your news. I hope you are doing nice things for yourself and taking the time you need. My transfer was a ultrasound on my stomach that was used for guidance but not internal.

I didn't get a picture of the transfer but I've asked for the time-lapse videos of my embryos which my clinic are happy to provide. I just feel I need to see them.

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 15:32

@Melisss my embryo kinda glows up on the scan pic. However, we put two in and I can only see one on the pic so maybe some are trickier to see or somehow hiding. I was/ still am sorta convinced tho he only put one in as he almost dropped the catheter with my babies 😆 but caught it

MoonIightDreamer · 13/11/2023 15:38

@LuckyPineapple yes thats around the time my lines starting progressing too. I think I was fearing the worst as I was testing all week and had absolutely no progress and yes I'd heard its supposed to double every 2-3days but that wasn't happening for me. Thankfully today I did a clearblue and got a nice strong line. I'm still freaking out about the bad cramps. I mentioned to the gp and she said they should only be mild but maybe ivf pregnancies are different. She seemed a bit clueless but said probably wouldn't worry unless I'm having any bleeding.
I thought they'd test my hcg levels 48hrs apart with blood tests to confirm it's progressing but It seems mine won't do that. They'll give me confirmation I'm pregnant and thats it and anything else I should take it up with the fertility clinic
