We got our BFP yesterday on a clearblue test, very definite line and tested again this morning and I think slightly darker. I have done a digital yesterday and today and it is saying 1-2 weeks. I am 11dp5dt today, we transferred two embryos. Should I be testing 2-3 weeks?

Congratulations!!! The digital result can never be 100% accurate. I would try not to worry about it. Best of luck!

try9ng · 29/10/2023 06:03

Thank you trying not to obsess. This is our 4th transfer and first time with a BFP.

It's difficult in your situation not to obsess. Easier said than done, but enjoy the feeling of being pregnant, knowing there is a little baby (babies?!) growing inside you. I really hope it works out.

try9ng · 29/10/2023 06:17

Thank you. I'm going to try and enjoy this feeling. We are booked in for bloods tomorrow and will get results on Tuesday. It's always a waiting game with IVF isn't it

These are my tests from yesterday and today for reference, I'm hoping they are strong enough for this stage

@try9ng Congratulations :) as long as the test lines appear to be getting darker day by day then no need to worry. I'm not sure how the above tests are, I used one step pregnancy tests and it was clear to see the darker lines every 2 days.

try9ng · 30/10/2023 13:29

Thank you. In the morning when I check it looks darker. But they all seem to fade a bit after they have been sitting. I did get 2-3 weeks this morning so the HCG must be increasing. I could only find those clearblue ones, I was looking First Response but couldn't find them anywhere. I got my bloods taken this morning, so will get results tomorrow. I'm going to try stop testing as it's driving me mad!

@try9ng it is difficult to see the line progression on the Clearblue, that's why I used the one step as it was obvious from day to day. At least you haven't got long to wait for the blood results but from above your deffo pregnant :)

SH998 · 30/10/2023 13:36

@try9ng my progression lines :)

try9ng · 30/10/2023 13:40

That's a lot easier to see. I wonder should I order some and start testing using them too lol. It's hard not to obsess

SH998 · 30/10/2023 13:47

I tested obsessively until about day 21 lol. I think I paid about £7.00 for a pack of 20 off eBay. I only used the Clearblue blues on my official test day then another Clearblue when I was far later to see if it tested 3+ weeks.

try9ng · 30/10/2023 13:51

Lol I will probably still be testing day 21 the way I'm going. I've googled to see what a good positive looks like on these clearblue ones and I can't find a decent picture. How far along are you now?

SH998 · 30/10/2023 14:13

@try9ng try the one step tests, they are great and really clear.
I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant after 2 collections and 4 transfers. I still cant believe I saying that as it still seems surreal :)

try9ng · 30/10/2023 14:25

Awh congratulations that's brilliant. This is our 4th round and 4th transfer, first BFP so hoping it sticks 🙏 I'm sure it's hard to take in after the IVF journey

thank you, I don't think it will sink in until he's here safe and sound. Still a way to go but every week is a milestone hit. You will worry about everything and anything, after creating something so precious its completely understandable but do your best to enjoy it too. Its only been this last month that the worry has eased a little (not fully but improved) and I've started to enjoy the experience and get excited :)

try9ng · 30/10/2023 15:19

You're half way there now, I hope everything goes smoothly for you for the rest of your pregnancy and you have a healthy baby in your arms in a few months. I worry about every little thing already, I've had pains in my back and side which I know are completely normal but I still Google everything I can think of. I hope I will relax a bit more after bloods and if everything is OK as we get each milestone.

ill be honest with you it doesn't get any easier and the worry doesn't end on seeing that pregnancy test, I've currently paid a fortune on private bloods to monitor HCG levels (which I panicked over as it wasn't as high as some others on here), I've had 6 scans, crying at 3 of them and I could go on and on about how stressful this is but I wouldn't lol. Google was my best friend but also my worst enemy at times. Its so tough and I feel for you but please remember than everyone is different so what suits some doesn't for others.

Feel free to ask anything if you need to, I can only advise based on my experience but I did find this forum great for answers.

Clear blue weeks indicator is weeks from conception. So 1-2 is actually 3-4 weeks pregnant. So sounds like it's spot on. I'm not a fan of the clear blue blue line tests, you're better off with frer or boots early pregnancy tests, even Wondfo should show better progression. The blood tests are definitely a better indicator of how things are going, have you got another blood test booked after the one you've just had?

try9ng · 30/10/2023 16:49

@SH998 thanks. Hopefully now you are at that stage the worry will start to ease. I think going through IVF makes the worry more than normal

OP posts:
try9ng · 30/10/2023 16:52

@Gardenlady543 our clinic only does one blood test, as long as it is over 150 they are content and book you in for scan in 3 weeks. They will do another if I want to pay but it's a 2 1/2 hour drive there and then back again. I was going to book in with my GP on Wednesday if everything looks good tomorrow so maybe they would do it for me. First Response tests were impossible to find here, I thought maybe they had stopped selling them

OP posts:
Gardenlady543 · 30/10/2023 20:37

@try9ng yeah it's pretty variable Amazon keeps having frer in and then they are gone again. Boots early test is the best alternative I've heard. I arranged private hcg a through medichecks you need to wait a few days for the result though.

try9ng · 30/10/2023 21:46

@Gardenlady543 that's good to know you can order them online. There is a private GP in my town if my own GP won't do it I can go to it but I think it's a few days wait for the result too

OP posts:
try9ng · 31/10/2023 15:30

My bloods came back at 311 yesterday, they wanted them to be over 150 so I'm happy with that. Going to book an appointment with the private GP tomorrow to get them to see how much they have increased

Great news @try9ng that sounds like a plan :)
