I have PCOS and I am on a NHS study where I get either Letrozole and Clomid and I just did my first cycle. I started on 2.5 mg and went in for scan day 13 where I had developed a promising follicle measuring 13 mm. This was very positive as I naturally ovulate on my own late in the cycle around day 45. I went in for a second scan today at CD20 but the follicle from last time was completely gone and only small follicles around 8 mm were there! Feeling really disappointed as I thought I had responded well to the medication and now the Doctor wants to double the dose for next cycle.
I have been testing with OPK and Clearblue sticks every day and I got a peak this morning with a solid smiley.
Is there anyone here who has had experience with follicles just disappearing? How does a LH surge work if there is no mature follicle?
