Why am i having a day 3 transfer

They told me I am booked in for a day 3 transfer. Our eggs were collected yesterday and we have 3 embryos.
They've already confirmed my transfer.

I'm just wondering, does that mean our 1 day embryos already don't look good? We only found out today 3 mature and fertilised out of the 9 collected in total. Can they already tell they won't develop into blasts this early ?
I'm feeling a bit deflated that they have confirmed it this early I thought they would have waited to see how they look on day 3. Do they do this for everyone ? Or are our embryos looking like they are low quality at this stage

I don’t think that it will be they are poor quality. The nurse explained it to me that they only wait to try and see which is the best quality so they make the right selection. So one maybe is clearly better than the other two so they do the transfer in day 3. Don’t be disheartened. I had a 3dt as I only had 2 that fertilised and one was clearly better than the other. I’m currently 7+2 pregnant so 3dt work too.

It will probably be because your numbers are low, they'd rather put one back in early in case none make it to day 5. Ask your clinic to check their reasoning. A few do actually do day 3 transfer as standard. Lots of renowned figures rubbish the day 5 grading anyway. Try not to worry, good luck.
