Daily timing of progesterone

Hi, I just wondered if there was anyone out there who is taking 2 x 400mg Cyclogest pessaries and 1 x Lubion injection per day and if so, can I pick your brains?!
I’m starting progesterone tomorrow in preparation for a FET next Tues, and I’m just wondering how people generally spread them out during the day as I’ve had differing advice from different doctors. I’m currently with my second clinic and I’ve also had an Emma/Era/Alice mock cycle through a different consultant this summer.
I’ve been told this time round to take the pessaries 12 hours apart, 8.30am and 8.30pm for example, and the Lubion in the evening. Whereas for the mock cycle, I was advised to take the pessaries first thing in the morning and last thing at night (this would be 6.30am and 9.30pm, we have a toddler ☺️) and to bridge the gap in the daytime with the Lubion early afternoon.
I’m probably overthinking it, and maybe it doesn’t really matter, but I just thought I’d post in case anyone could advise on how they timed it. I’m having my progesterone checked the day before the transfer so that will be reassuring but after 4 failed implantations in the last year, I want to try to do things the best I can!
Thanks very much x

I know it’s not specifically what you’ve asked but I’m on 3 x 400mg progesterone and my timings differ all the time as I work shifts including nights. I think as long as it’s in your system it would be fine. I’m 7weeks pregnant and have been on this dose since transfer and it’s never the exact same times.

Thanks @JadeAC, no that is really helpful.
I’m probably overthinking it as I was much more relaxed about timings with my very first transfer and that was my only successful one. Really pleased to hear you’re 7 weeks pregnant, that’s great news x

I also take 2 cyclogest and 1 lubion a day and my clinic say lubion in the morning, cyclogest morning and evening. Not sure how much difference it really makes 🤷🏻‍♀️

@KLM25 I'm on 2x cyclogest and 1x lubion. My clinic said the "easiest" thing to do (aka it isn't set in stone) is to take cyclogest after getting up and before going to bed at a time where I can wait at least 20 mins before going to the toilet. And to take Lubion whenever I wanted, so I take it when I get in from work.
So my day for progesterone is: 7am cyclogest, 5:30pm lubion, 9pm cyclogest.

I got the feeling it doesn't hugely matter exactly when or how far in between each is.

Thanks so much @kirstysmbc and @IVFKinster, it’s really helpful to hear from you both.

I think I would prefer to take the Cyclogest first thing in the morning and last thing at night as that feels like the most convenient way to do it, and do the Lubion some time in between. It’s reassuring to know that you both got the feeling that the exact timings didn’t matter too much!

I’ve emailed my clinic earlier today to ask (feeling like the most neurotic patient in the world ☺️) but I haven’t heard back from them yet, so thanks very much for your replies as they’ve put my mind at rest x

@KLM25 I did exactly the same as you including the era and the same drugs.

I did pessaries 9am and 9pm and lubion at 9pm with the evening pessary x

KLM25 · 28/10/2023 16:54

Thanks so much @CR7, it’s really helpful to hear from someone who’s been in the same position.
For the pessaries, I’ve settled on 9am and 9pm roughly as well. I’m doing the Lubion at about 2pm. My doctor got back to me and said that if the Cyclogest were 12 hours apart then the timing of the Lubion wouldn’t matter too much, so we’ll see how things work out!
Hope things are going well for you x

@KLM25 thank goodness all is looking good. I took the lubion and pessaries until I got to 12 weeks x
