High ovary unaccessable

Wondering has anyone been through this. My ovary is high and they said its rigid under the abdominal wall and I won't be able to retrieve the eggs from it.
They tried pushing manually at scan but it didn't help. Feeling a bit deflated. Retrieval is Wednesday morning

I don't have experience of being told it was totally inaccessible so I guess if that's what they've told you, you'll have to go with it - unless you want to ask/pay extra if they can go in through the stomach?

I have had an ovary which has often been inaccessible in scans though without a lot of prodding as it's usually behind the womb, but in egg collections they have always managed to access it because they can obviously prod around harder and push on my stomach etc to make it move a lot more when I'm under sedation than when I'm awake.

@xCrystalQueenx one of my ovaries appears to be inaccessible for exactly that reason, although it was accessed on my first egg collection but the last 2 (which have been at a different clinic) it was not accessible. They got the needle in but could not get to the follicles due to blood vessels in the way and have since said they will not proceed to egg collection if the dominant follicle is in that ovary as I'm doing natural modified.

What is your follicle count like on the other side? If that is accessible that will be fine which is what has happened with me. Thankfully my high ovary so far has been the sleepy one anyway and produces the lowest follicles.

I've got a few follicles 5 or possibly 6 on other side but only 1 follicle on the high up ovary. They also said the ovary was tiny. One was 22mm today and today is trigger day.
