4 natural modified failures @ Create

Hello have low follicle numbers due to age so natural modified protocol was advised by Create clinic. It’s been v poor results from 4 rounds. Very likely bad quality/genetic eggs. Not sure if should change protocol or clinic. Any similar experiences or advice? Thanks so much x

Hi thanks for reply. 44 and 3 or 4 being collected (did get 6 on round 2 but an anomaly).

A few of the total have got to day 5 but so far none make it past that or past Pgta.

Hi, sorry you’ve not had success yet. what’s your AFC? Is that in line with the number of eggs retrieved? Your AFC might indicate the maximum potential number of eggs you could get. What dose of stim drugs are you on?

I’m 44 and do PGT-A (as well as PGT-M but that’s another story) but with regular IVF , not natural modified. I get one or two blasts to biopsy stage per cycle. I’ve been lucky to get two euploids from four cycles. Some might recommend you to just transfer any that make it to day 5, if your numbers are low anyway, but I think you’re Probably doing the right thing by PGT-A as you’re avoiding potential negative cycles and miscarriage If you’re getting to biopsy stage out of 3 or 4 eggs, that’s good, and you might get lucky and find a euploid embryo… it takes many cycles at our age unfortunately.

Hi OP I'm 40, I did traditional ivf. My first round I responded very badly. I had potential of 10 follicles that would give eggs and only had 5 grow with 3 eggs. 1 3BC blast which failed.
They thought I was a poor responder but turns out my dose was too low (180 rekovelle) my second round I did menopur 300 upped to 450 at day 5 and got 10 eggs, 4 blasts (5AB, 4AB, 4BB and 3BC) and I'm pregnant with a 5AB FET now. I didn't generically test them as read some studies they can correct themselves. I know a lot of people do but it was a lot of money for me and after I read that I thought I would just give it a go.
My AMH was 13.4. I think everyone is different but for me I responded much better to the higher dose. Wishing you lots of luck x

@LittleDoveLove oh wow congrats that's amazing for you! excellent to get that outcome. my amh is very low. it was AMH 4.7 in mid june this year, but I was getting 3-6 eggs. last week it was 7.9, and my follicle count on scan was 7. so you have better amh for sure. i do wonder if my dose is too low. they are adamant at this clinic though about doing low dosages!

@CailinInUK thank you so much for your message! my amh has jumped from june (it was 4.7) and jumped up to 7.9 last week. follicle count is 7 so is more consistent with the last amh test. i have heard it can many rounds.
I usually start with a scan on day 4 or 5, start on gonal 150 on day 4 or 5, then on day 6 (or 7) start cetrotide (usually 1 ovitrelle trigger).
what has happened with you 2 euploids? I hope you get the outcome you want asap!

@CailinInUK also egg collection is day 11, day 13 twice, and then longest was day 16 when i pushed to do stims for slightly longer (also asked they try meriofert, but they may have got the dose wrong as they never use meriofert at this clinic, it started on 150, then they had to up to 200, then had to up to 300). that wasnt a good round (none made to biopsy stage) but perhaps the stim weren't right and it would have been better had I been on 300 from the start maybe.

@Lndm I'm 39 but my AMH is lower than yours - 3.6. I did my second round in June on the highest dose of menopur, got 3 blastocysts from 6 eggs, and am now nearly 20 weeks pregnant with an untested 4ab.

It's really difficult to advise because our situations are all unique, but I don't think your AMH is bad for 44 and you should make more blastocysts.

Supplements are controversial, but I took the following for my second round:

FH Pro for women (contains everything mentioned in It Starts with the Egg)
Vitamin C
Vitamin D + K
Magnesium
Açai powder (for antioxidants)
Green veg powder (for antioxidants)
NMN (substance made naturally by our bodies that depletes as we age, involved in cell production. Studies have shown it improves egg quality in ageing mice!)

Maybe none of it made a difference and it was just my lucky round, or maybe it did!

@Lndm yea create I think only do mild ivf don't they. It's why I decided against it for me but I do know a lot of people say it's worked for them x

@Lndm Thank you! I started on NMN because someone mentioned it on another thread. And then I did lots of research and found loads of positive anecdotal stories and research on mice with great results. I really think it's worth a go. You can get it from Youth and Earth and British-supplements.net
