Would drinking water impact bfp this much?

Hi all

I am 8dpt FET today with betas due to be taken tomorrow and I’ve done a stupid thing. I’ve had three chemicals and one mmc and have found early testing to prepare me for beta results but I’ve really confused myself this time.

My lines have been progressing slowly but steadily on frer from 5dpt (testing in the evening, still quite faint but about 50% darker from Monday to yesterday). For some unknown reason I tested with a wondfo on smu today and then decided after chugging 3 pints of water to do another wondfo and a frer about half an hour ago. Well, the wondfo is the same strength as the one with smu but the frer is 50% lighter than the one I did last night. Realistically would water make that much difference? And why wouldn’t wondfo be impacted?

I know I sound quite quite mental but my previous losses have broken my little heart and I’m a nervous wreck.

Thanks to anyone who reads this.

I think that would be massively diluted down. The fact they tell you to wait a certain amount of hours and watch liquids must be for a reason. I get the anxiety though. It’s awful when your not sure if things are real or your heading for disappointment

Thank you, I know it’s daft to keep testing (and ignoring all the advice!) but sometimes it helps me feel a bit more prepared.

Realise I forgot to add pics! Top frer is last night, bottom one at 11am this morning after ALL the water. The top wondfo is smu this morning and the bottom one from 11am. I know all lines may seem faint to some people but there was clear progression from Monday to yesterday’s so I’m trying not to worry about that as well.

I can definitely see them! I’d leave it a little bit if you can. 5dpt is quite early so I would expect it to be faint. Hcg usually doubles every 48hrs I read.

They are yesterday (7dpt) and this morning (8dpt) but that is still early so maybe not too worrying that they aren’t very dark. Just hoping the fainter one this morning was down to all the water I drank, not overly hopeful though. Eh this is a shitty journey!

My main question would be why would you not be using FMU??
And yes, water does have an effect on the tests, which is why they say to test with FMU, as it will be more concentrated!
The only way to have a reliable line progression is with FMU, as otherwise, it will depend on how much water you have actually had and how long it has been since you went to the toilet!

Hope your beta went well!

As I said, I did a stupid thing. I didn’t use fmu because I was trying not to obsessively test buuuuut I failed in that quest.

Beta went as expected, another chemical to add to the pile.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Such a horrible process.
