@ivfhelp Thanks. Our infertility is not straightforward, but CARE have been good. You’re right, they do seem to promise the world but you have to go into it thinking it’s a chance. Not a guarantee.
To give you an idea of our journey: We are officially unexplained but since being with CARE we have picked up on the following:
- I only have one ovary that ever has an AFC. Also only have one ovary that responds to stims, so cuts my numbers right down!
- DH has ‘stressed sperm’ - likely DNA fragmentation
- My AMH is the low side of normal. Explained by only having one ovary that works!
- We have a fertilisation issue - first round had 33% fertilisation rate with ICSI
Part of the reason we chose CARE was the extras we knew they did, in case we needed then. I had an inkling we might.
Our last round we used zymot chip and AOA to combat new sperm issue (stressed sperm) and fertilisation rate. Fertilisation rates improved slightly to 50% but our day 5 embryo rate was good. Out of 4 fertilised eggs we got 3 good quality day 5 blasts.
Currently going through a FET now. They’ve been on the ball changing things up where things haven’t worked but we have not been a straightforward case.
I’m happy with them, so far. We have a multi package so another egg collection if needed. If that doesn’t work, I’ll probably look at London clinics/immunology though. - funds dependent.
I wish you the best of luck, with whichever clinic you go for.
