Bleedingpn day 5 after egg retrieval

Hello.
Just wondered if this is normal :
I had my egg collection on Monday . On the 2nd day I had a tiny bit of spotting in my discharge (sorry tmi) and nothing since, but today I've just started bleeding . Had some horrible stabbing pains a few times in my vagina earlier also - not sure whether this is related or not.

Is this normal and to be expected ? It's like the beginning of a period. For context I am having a freeze all cycle, so not on progesterone pessaries or anything like that.

Oh I read online that it's probably just my period 🙄

I got my period 5 days after a freeze all too. Weirdly nobody had mentioned id get it so soon so it totally threw me - I thought it was a complication from the procedure. Wishing you luck for your journey x

The spotting can sometime be normal, a nerve may have been hit as the collection is done through the long needle. I would call the hospital, heavy bleeding 5 days after collection could be anything. I've had a few collections and aside from spotting on the day of collection haven't had period until 10-12 days after
