TWW post medicated FET

Hey everyone,

I had a 5 day blastocyst transfer and I’m currently 11dp5dt.

My clinic told me to test at 15dp5dt which seems so long..

it’s a medicated FET and I’m on the standard meds my clinic uses: cyclogest pessaries x 3, lubion x 1 and 6mg progynova (so all just estrogen and progesterone). Never had any other meds this cycle.

I was originally doing a naturally cycle transfer (but had to switch) and for that, the official test day was only 11dp5dt! Anyone know why the difference? Intrigued to understand that…

also obviously going mental waiting! :)

Opps! I pressed send too soon!

I meant to say...

Then a modified natural cycle where I had a transfer but resulted in a negative. I then had a positive transfer with this one. So yes, second transfer but first success @Woman5678 This time the clinic added in aspirin and clexane which are blood thinners to help blood flow to the womb. But who knows if that made a difference or if the embryo in the first transfer wasn't quite right. Yes, I've been back-backing all my cycles since I started. There was a paper published recently that said pgt-a testing was only helpful in women >38. How many embryos are you thinking of testing?
What number transfer was this for you?

I am glad the clinic were supportive @Blossomofhope Its so hard to know how to proceed, but you will make the right decision.

Your time is coming ladies, I know its shit today, but hang on in there 🩵

@Jellyfish1956 oh gosh that sounds like a rough ol journey.
I didn’t even know you could have a fully medicated frozen transfer cycle. I assumed it was just progesterone naively.

@Woman5678 Thanks, yes it will
happen. I’m assuming the failure is down to poor quality embryo or an implantation problem but I don’t know how you’d even diagnose an implantation problem other than maybe a few good quality embryos not implanting.

i only had one grade 3bb blast which the embryologist said was good but reading online it doesn’t sound great. Is there anything you ladies are doing to help egg quality? I’ve ordered more coq10 - not sure what else to do really. I feel so lost during all this. I don’t even feel like myself anymore and can’t help but feel like it’s all been for nothing.

@Jellyfish1956 thanks that’s super helpful to know. What actually is a modified natural cycle? Is that what you also had this time? I also had to have a freeze all after egg collection and then kind of the opposite to you where I tried a natural cycle frozen transfer firstly but my lining was too thin so then I swapped to medicated. Was your period bad after your failed cycle? Dreading it!

@Blossomofhope my remaining embryos are graded bb’s/bc and my clinic have said not to worry about that. Also, the grading can improve when they thaw them so I wouldn’t worry about it. There’s soooo many little things to worry about aren’t there. It’s mental hell. I feel you today, we’ve got to believe our turn will come and it’s just a matter of time. I think they say it’s an average of 3 cycles for a success if everything is good? 2/3 of us here were negative so I guess we can take heart that we’re not alone and it’s probably unlikely to work the first time.

xxx
