Hey, I’m hoping someone could give me some words of encouragement s I’m feeling so deflated today.
Im 9dp5dt and have been testing since 4dp, got my first squinter at 6dp ( can’t tell you the relief to see something) and it’s barely progressed over the past few days. I got a 1-2 on digital last night. Should my lines be stronger? Does this look like a chemical? TIA!

Congrats on the positive tests. It's very difficult to see progression if you're taking tests at different times of the day and so close together. Hcg should double roughly every 48 hours, so try looking at those a couple of days apart.

Also, when hcg levels are so low, things like how dilute your urine is can make a huge difference. That's why they recommend fmu. If you can, try not testing tomorrow, then try again first thing Saturday. As a fellow POAS addict, I know that is easier said than done. Good luck 🤞

Thank you 🙏🏻 my OTD is Saturday but won't be able to give clinic my results until Monday- it's going to be a long weekend!
Do you think these look ok? Why is this so hard 😫
Thank you for your message xx

@Emmm5 it is so hard, and it's tough that there isn't really any way to tell off things are ok or not until a scan. I would just take it as a good sign that you've got positive tests. It might be that you had a slightly later implantation if you didn't get anything at all until day 6, so your lines might be a bit lighter than someone with earlier implantation, but that doesn't mean much. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🤞

@Emmm5 I'm really sorry but these tests look very similar to the tests I had during my chemical. There is a Reddit called TFABLinePorn I scoured every post I could find with similar lines, there were 3 cases that took a turn and ended up ok. But the others were a chemical :(

@Gardenlady543 this is what I'm thinking, this mornings line is still the same no lighter no darker.
I'm still + 1-2 on a digital as of just now.
My OTD is tomo... but can't call clinic to give results until Monday, so you think it might be worth calling them today for some advice before they close all weekend?
Thank you for this and sorry you had to go through a chemical is so cruel xx

@Emmm5 you could call them, if they are like my clinic they will say keep taking the meds and call back on Monday. If they are more proactive they will ask you to go in for a beta. FRER picks up the tiniest amount of hcg, you can see on 8dp my level was only 8.8 and it was picking it up at a much lower level two days before

Emmm5 · 13/10/2023 08:52

@Gardenlady543 I did notice that, and feel it's so strange I'm positive on a digital when they pick up much higher units.
My clinic is 2 hours away so if they do bloods won't be until next week unless I could try and book some privately today and retest Monday.
They don't do Beta, so would have to pay anyway.
Will post any updates but for now thank you for your advice. We've not told anyone and just needed a vent to understanding ears so thank you x

@Emmm5 I would add that a chemical can be a step forward, I started IVF in 2020 having never had a positive test after several transfers with no implantation I had a chemical in December last year, my specialist told me not every embryo that implants will be a child. They thought at least we have the formula right, my next transfer was a pregnancy and I'm currently 27 weeks. Some people anecdotally seem to get pregnant soon after a chemical.

Emmm5 · 13/10/2023 08:59

@Gardenlady543 congratulations on your pregnancy that's lovely news!!
We have one embryo left, we had 3 Frosties after our successful fresh in 2020.
I was certain in my bones this one would work and having one last shot left makes me so terrified.
I'm 40 in a few months so another cycle wouldn't be an option for us, despite in my head saying I'd wait until next year I deffo think I'll be straight onto the last one if this is unsuccessful.
Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy 🤍 x

@Emmm5 I did my first cycle at 40 and got 6 embryos, one of which resulted in my daughter. So there is still a chance, but fingers crossed you won't need it

Emmm5 · 13/10/2023 09:49

@kirstysmbc that's great to hear and amazing!
I think we both promised our cut off would be then or we could go on and on ... but how I feel right now I'd totally go again!
Xx
