Create or MCR Fertility

Hello I'm looking for advice/pros and cons of Create Manchester vs MCR fertility.

We are a same sex couple and my wife is planning to carry. She is 29 and has no known fertility problems apart from an instance of pelvic inflammatory disease a year or so ago (no idea what implication that may have had?)

We are trying to decide between Create for mild IVF and MCR fertility for traditional. Manchester fertility have better success rates for younger women but we did like the idea of mild/natural. So hard to choose without having full knowledge of her fertility picture but would rather not pay for scans/consultations at both if we don't have to.

We likely only have 1/2 goes at this from a financial perspective.

Any thoughts, tips or recommendations greatly appreciated!

Hi I'm doing this as a single female with ABC leed who is the sister branch of Create.

ABC is nurse led and they have a set criteria but I don't feel it's too strict and create is consultant lead and deal with people who don't fit the criteria.

I'm not in the Manchester area and not sure if ABC operate there but just wanted to share how amazing they have been with me, although it is nurse lead for ABC everything is checked with a consultant and it is a consultant who does the procedures.

I cannot speak highly enough of them, every bump in the road so far they have provided options, nurse check ins to see how I'm feeling and truly gone above and beyond what I thought it may be. Price wise much cheaper than elsewhere.

I had Mild IVF, I had always been so phased by the thought of all the hormones and injecting myself but honestly I found it a breeze and weirdly an enjoyable experience.

One thing I will say is you may see people put up the number of eggs collected/fertilised etc. With ABC/Create they will only take eggs from follicles of a mature size, do you may feel like you get less eggs but you can come out with more viable embryos. They are very transparent about this throughout the sign up right through to the scan before EC. I was told a chance of 8 eggs even though I had 19 follicles showing and the number can in at 7, all of which fertilised. Other clinics may have a bigger drop off from collection to fertilise as they are taking all eggs, even ones too small.

I was with Care Fertility at the end of last year for IUIs and honestly found them appalling and sooo unsupportive when it came to choosing donors so ABC/Create was like a breath of fresh air. Hope this helps and good luck x

This is super helpful thank you!!

I did get good vibes from the welcome webinar we attended for create. My concern was the fewer eggs but I know it's really about quality not quantity- just scary when you're only having one go at it!
