3D uterine scan

Hi all, can anyone advise where I can get a 3D pelvic scan. I’ve had several transvaginal scans but my clinic abroad are now requesting a 3D uterine scan as I have had some recent treatment for Fibriods and the 3D imaging would give a better view of how my uterus has coped and if I’m ready to recommence treatment etc. I can’t seem to find anywhere to get this stupid scan done!! Help!! BTW I’ve also posted this on the Scotland IVF forum but am willing to travel anywhere in the UK TBH x

Hi!
I had one as part of my starting treatment with London Women's Clinic in Canterbury - I know thats probably miles away but it's not something that they seem to advertise but do it when they do a transvaginal scan, so might be worth contacting local ivf clinics to see if they offer?

This is so helpful! Thank you, I’ll definitely check it out. x

Hello
My clinic seems to have 3d scan thing as part of their transvaginal ultrasound as standard. It's at CRGW in Plymouth.
I've also got to have a fibroid removed from my uterus cavity before I can have any embryos transfered. What was your experience like?

Xx

Thanks so much. I’ve contact both the clinics you mentioned so fingers crossed they get back to me soon! @Tinyteeth I had a hysteroscopy myomectomy done last Thursday to remove a 2cm fibriod in my uterine cavity. It was all done vaginally and I was under a general aesthetic so was complete out of it!!! Recovery has been tough tbh with high pain levels and bleeding. But today (4 days after the procedure) I feel much better!! Do you know what type of procedure you will be having?xx

Ah thanks for your reply.
Sorry you've had pain and the such.
Honestly, I was so pissed off and upset when they found the fibroid on my scan .
The fertility clinic are referring me back to the local hospital for a hysteroscopy so I guess they could potentially take the fibroid out when they do that ... but I've no idea how long the waiting list is.
Glad you're feeling abit better today and goodluck with your recovery.

Aw thanks. Your clinic should definitely remove the fibroid whilst they are doing the hysteroscopy - get it over and done with! What size is your fibroid? Mine was 2cm and I was so disappointed that it became an ‘issue’! Everything I read suggested that anything under 5cm shouldn’t cause any problems but mine was in an awkward position which might affect implantation so it had to go! Yet another obstacle! X

This whole thing feels like obstacle after obstacle atm.

My fibroid is really small like 8mm but it's right in the center of my uterus and apparently "completing obscuring" it 🙄. Hopefully they'll whip it out xx

They definitely will! That’s a teeny fibriod and shouldn’t be any issue to remove whilst they’re down there anyway! 🤦‍♀️Best of luck, hope you don’t have to wait too long. Btw the nurse I spoke to at CRWG was so lovely! Thankyou for the recommendation xx
