Trigger shot kept too warm

Checked the temp of the packaging inside fridge with a thermometer that checks baby's bottle temp and it said it was 18c. My fridge is clearly not keeping stuff cool enough. I'm worried now as it says it should be discarded after 30 days. When it's time to use my trigger it'll be 34 days past the 30 day expiry if not kept in fridge . Do you think I need to buy a new one

I would call your clinic and check with them. Some of them I think have to be used from the fridge too. So can be out of the fridge for a period of time before being placed back in to be used.

Me personally, I think I would buy another one (providing you can store it at the right temp) just so if the cycle didn't work I wasn't left with the worry of "was it because of the trigger storage". Dunno the cost as mine was included in the package but for £100/150 it's not worth being left with that kinda doubt or worry.

I would buy another one. Its fluctuations in temp that destabilise the active component hence why the either need to be kept in the fridge or at room temp for max 3 days. You don't want to risk the trigger not working after all that effort so I'd get another. I had this problem after I left our fridge door open overnight and then put the meds back in to cool back down, thinking that was the best idea but in fact it was the wrong one! Good luck.

Room temp max 30 days that should say.

@SErunner does that just apply to the trigger or all meds unstable like that . I've got centrotide and bemfola too that need to be refrigerated. It took me an hour getting home aswell and I put them all straight in fridge and it was fine for few days until I moved them to top shelf and realised top shelf is really warm. I can't find much info online other than trigger shot has 30 days expiry. Are the rest sensitive to temp change aswell as my bemfola is a pre filled pen also

Gosh it's awfully stressful . Today was my first day stimming. I moved the bag back down to bottom shelf and they are all now at the correct temp but wondering now if I shouldn't have moved them back to the colder temp. Perhaps I've made things even worse

Bless you, it is really stressful. I would speak with your clinic - I didn't use either of the other meds you're on so wouldn't want to comment. If it's any reassurance, I used my gonal f (FSH stim) which was also in the fridge when I left it open. It had definitely warmed up a bit and then cooled down again as the fridge was like room temp by the morning. I couldn't afford to replace them all as it would have been over £1000. My clinic said the Ovitrelle was more unstable when they replaced that for me. The cycle went fine. Sorry you're going through this, it is additional stress you don't need.
