Testosterone gel experiences?

Hi All! I'm due to start my second fresh round later this month (first led to miscarriage and BFN: I am 38 with low AMH and we're having ICSI for male factor). This time, our consultant has prescribed me Testogel to take for 21 days from day 6 (there will be a crossover of a few days with buserelin but obviously way before stims). I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with Testogel ... and if yes did it improve your outcomes? And any tips for using it? Many thanks!

I have low AMH. I had a fresh round recently that was cancelled due to poor response. For the current round, we switched to the long protocol and added Testogel, and they were able to collect enough eggs to go ahead. It probably made a difference, although it's hard to know which/if changes were responsible for the improvement.

It gave me a lot of acne, especially on my shoulders, but otherwise it was fine.

I found trans forums to be useful when searching for Testogel experiences, but I think people transitioning take a higher dose than IVF patients😂

Thank you for your reply @RyvitaBrevis. I’m sorry to hear about your cancelled round - that must have been tough - but I’m pleased it was followed by a more positive round. Perhaps the Testogel helped but I know what you mean that with so many variables involved in IVF it’s hard to tell! Thanks for the tip about trans forums!
