Who's taken bemfola on a short protocol?

My nhs clinic are completely disinterested by my concerns. I wanted to ask anyone who's done short protocol with bemfola , what cycle day did you start injections ? No down reg .

So here's my concern..
My clinic have told me to start on 12th October regardless of when a bleed starts. My bleed is due this week.
Everyone else who I've spoken to seems to suggest it's started early in the cycle ( while still on a bleed) or they are being scheduled in depending on when bleed starts. I've exhausted myself researching on google and I came across information that seems to suggest it should be started within the first 7 days of a cycle. My period is due on Saturday but I've a feeling it's on its way early ( all the signs and even spotting now) which means I'm going to stimming beyond the 7 days if it comes tomorrow. I really don't want to look like a dickhead undermining the nursing team. Ive already questioned them about this and they've already told me take it regardless of an early bleed. But they are literally just nurses doing scheduling. Do you think my schedule is perfectly normal or should I demand my concerns are passes to the consultant to check this over.

Hey. I think I would ask to speak to my consultant. This way you can ask the relevant questions and he can give you answers based on his clinical knowledge. This will put your mind at ease to as the last thing you need right now is stressing out or worrying about this. Personally I would ring and make sure I spoke to the consultant who has drawn up your plan.

I was on Bemfola - I took it from CD2 (after a baseline scan). Think I took it for about 10 days. I would contact your clinic if you have concerns - I'm sure they all work slightly differently x

Just checked and i actually took it for 12 days x

I was on bemfola for a short cycle, no down regs and took it from day 2 for 8 or 8 days I believe.

I took bemfola from cd 2 and egg collection was cd12. I just called my clinic and you'd them I'd started my period and they confirmed to start injections the next day.

Thanks ladies. I do find it interesting why why are doing things so differently for me and wonder if its a mistake but the nurses won't hear of it.
Do any of you recall your consultant telling you it had to specifically be started early in the cycle or did you watch any videos from them that suggested so? I cant remember. I think the process has fried my brain

@MoonlightDreamer my clinic just confirmed I'd start Bemfola following the baseline scan if all looked okay. And the baseline scan was always going to be scheduled just after my period arrived (CD2/3). I didn't get a reason why, it just seemed like the normal timings they use? But I guess clinics use different timings based on experience. Or could it be to do with scheduling the EC? For example, if you were to start sooner they wouldn't have capacity for the procedure?!? Best speak to your consultant to find out xx
