Letrzole & HSG, ok to TTC in same cycle?

Hi all,
Back story I have have one successful pregnancy back in 2020. 2 miscarriages last year at 8 & 9 weeks. One chemical this year in May otherwise haven't been able to conceive since.
Last cycle I had the 21 day progesterone test which showed my progesterone was low so I have Letrzole which I will be beginning tomorrow. I also have a HSG test on the 12th.
Has anyone experience's with these? Can you TTC in the same cycle as the HSG, has anyone any positive stories?

Hey, afraid you can’t ttc same month as an HSG. I was actually told I had to abstain from sex.

@KG1244 really?! Must ring consultant nd see if there's much point starting the letrozole if we can't try x

@Daniki yes 100%. The reason is that if you did fall pregnant before the hsg, the procedure would completely disrupt the embryo. I’m sorry they didn’t tell you before.

@KG1244 but is it ok to try after the procedure? I'm booked in for next Thursday week but my period will only finish the day before x

@Daniki yes definitely fine. I asked the consultant who did my HSG and she just said, please wait till you’ve left the hospital 😂
one other thing, take ibuprofen about an hour before the procedure. I didn’t find it painful, mainly uncomfortable.

@KG1244 haha thank god for that I don't want to leave a cycle 😂 I was reading up about it last night it does not sound nice!! 😏 was it quick at least? Did you have much bleeding after? X

Oh and one other thing, sadly it wasn’t the case for me and I did ivf but there are some studies that show you have a slightly increased chance of falling pregnant for the 3 months or so after the HSG. Guessing it’s cause everything is nice and clear. Good luck! X

@Daniki the whole thing took about 10 minutes and the worst bit was the speculum opening me up. It honestly isn’t that bad and you get the results straight away. I don’t think I bled much at all

@KG1244 my specialist did say that about the increased fertility so here's hoping 🤞🏻 did you succeed then with IVF? X
