My dh had a sperm analysis test today (same day results). We were planning to do a final 3 cycle package so just doing pre checks.
Our history is infertility - recurrent natural miscarriages x4, ivf with 2 losses (3 top AA embryos from mild ivf), now infertility again, no natural or ivf pregnancies since 2021. I have a very overactive immune system identified as the cause of our 6 losses / infertility (under Dr Shehata). Full immune protocol hasn't worked. 2 of our babies have been tested as normal but babies don't grow past 6+2, usually mmc around 9 weeks.
Anyway, dh sperm analysis today showed 5% progressive motility (down from 27%). I am redoing my amh next week, was 5 in 2020, so I don't get a lot of eggs. Dh is redoing his sperm dna fragmentation, that was 16% last year.
Dh was incredibly ill this year and nearly died and has needed 3 operations, had multiple antibiotics and various pain meds over a 4 month period, so guessing this has contributed to his results.
Does anyone have any hopeful outcomes with similar results? I'm guessing we'll need icsi (only done ivf before). I barely had any hope before but pretty much have none now and wondering if we should just stop now. We've are not open to donors, surrogacy or adoption. We've been trying for 6 years now but wanted one last chance but think we might've missed it now 💔
