Bicornuate Uterus Success Story

I just wanted to come on here and post my story as Mumsnet is a place I came a lot while on my TTC journey and often bicornuate uterus stories weren't very positive ones. I wanted to post about my experience so if anyone has recently been told they have a bicornuate uterus and is googling like I did you will hopefully come across my positive story and it will help make you feel a little better!

I will start by saying it did take me a long time to get pregnant 3 1/2 years in total we were trying. We got pregnant naturally when I was 30 and didn't really do anything differently the month we got pregnant i think it was just pure luck. I was taking daily folic acid, vitamin d, coq10, zitra west viral dha with omega 3.

My baby grew in my right horn and I would say I had no problems throughout my pregnancy at all! My bump was an odd shape towards the end and it was very sore and the skin stretched a lot on the side he was on. He was transverse till 36 weeks then turned head down. I had a c section but this was through choice, they said I could have had a vaginal delivery. He stayed in till term and grew perfectly. He was born a healthy baby weighing 7lb 7oz.

I know there can be so many awful things caused by bicornuate uterus and I know when I was Googling this it gave me a lot of anxiety and caused me to not really enjoy my pregnancy as I was always so worried about something going wrong. I hope my experience can help someone and if you have any questions I am happy to answer them Blush
