Good Afternoon my lovely people. I'm in a somewhat okay mood right now. I was SO nervous I felt sick and was sweating profoundly when it was time for our appointment today. It was a face to face which I had arranged as prior to this we had only spoken to our consultant over the phone and it just didn't seem quite right. I told the dr how I felt which he said was quite normal as things were moving closer to the actual cycle.
I am 33 years my AMH according to him is on the lower end of normal at 17.4 and my partners sperm results were borderline. Which is why they have suggested ICSI. He said I would be on the short protocol (for some reason I thought it was going to be long) This means I'll start my meds when I start my menstrual cycle? With myself sometimes I have like reddish tinged discharge and then 2 days itl be just reddish tinge when I wipe and then I get my full flow. He said the day I notice red bleed is my period but that doesn't answer my question....is anyone 3lse like me? Where they have light tinge and then full flow? Did you have short protocol? When did you start meds?
Also anyone from the UK thats gone through Yorkshire Fertility? What meds were used in the short protocol? How much time did the short protocol take? How many scans on average during the process?
Oh and another thing he mentioned because AMH was lower end last year when checked he is going to assume i5s got lower so may increase the dosage for me.
Erm I asked about the progesterone to have in injection form he said I would still need to have a pessary too just so I have enough inmy system as one injection does not equate to the amount required. Is there anyone on here who used the injections? Or both injection/pessary? Anyone used pessaries only where did you insert? My worry is if I do it vaginally il meddle with my ph balance and cause thrush etc and also rectally/vaginal I may waste more than is actually going in my system? :-/
I am now waiting for the nurses consultation so I can start signing the papers.
