Clomid between IVF cycles?

Hi there

Does anyone have any experience of taking clomid between IVF cycles? That is, in the break between two IVF cycles, taking clomid?

I have had two failed IVF cycles so far and am currently on a break and will likely do IVF again in October. Wondering if taking Clomid now during this break would be helpful to give the eggs a boost in current cycle (where we will try naturally)?

I'm not an expert but I was clomid prior to starting ivf next month. I haven't taken it this cycle as they told me not to.
I'm not exactly certain why. Unless it's something to do with clomid really makes your ovaries work harder , and perhaps if your doing a ivf cycle right the next month maybe it's too much ?
No idea but I took their advice and decided to give my ovaries a break from the clomid so that they could rest before pumping them with ivf drugs. I didn't want to take take chances and exhaust my ovaries too much and in turn compromising on egg quality
