Hi @BlackLotus. I’m afraid I can’t give you a recipe for high quality eggs which lead to a successful outcome because my past two transfers have failed and I myself am about to embark on another fresh cycle. However, as a 37+ woman, I am doing the following to try and help with egg quality: taking high dose vitamin D as well as pregnacare conception max plus 600mg ubiquinol daily; eating lots of fish, chicken, eggs, nuts and beans for high protein; lowering my carbohydrate intake and when I do eat carbs making sure it’s things like quinoa, wholegrain pasta or rice, sweet potatoes, porridge oats; staying away from sugary and processed foods; eating lots of fruit and vegetables; drinking 2.5-3L water daily; no caffeine or alcohol at all. My clinic haven’t advised me to do specifically this - they just said to eat healthily - but I have researched egg quality nutrition a lot! However, as I say, I’m still hoping and praying for an embryo which will become the one! I’ll be interested to know if you / other women have any other egg quality tips…?

Oh and 75mg DHEA daily!

There isn't good evidence for anything to help really. None of the supplements or dietary modifications beyond a normal well balanced diet are well evidenced. Nor is giving up alcohol or caffeine despite it being adopted widely. Having a normal BMI is beneficial.

Personally I eat well 5 days a week with minimal processed food then relax a bit at weekends. I don't drink alcohol at all and only have once cup of decaf coffee each day. I exercise regularly and take a vegan multi vitamin as a follow a vegan diet. Plus additional vitamin D and ubiquinol. DHEA should only be taken under medical supervision and there is no good evidence for it. We had our daughter via IVF in 2021. We've had two failed transfers this year for a sibling.

Robert Winston's 'the essential fertility guide' is a good, well evidenced overview of current fertility practice.
