Long story short I have had 3 failed ivf transfers. My consultant has advised I have genetic testing done for clotting disorders and killer cells. The tests cost an arm and a leg. Im wondering what they will do differently if I do happen to have an issue with this? I asked them this and they didn’t have an answer for me apart from they might put me on steroids.. I’m apprehensive to bother with it because to be honest I can’t be arsed paying any more money to them. I’m considering just doing another frozen transfer without testing. Am I about to pay thousands for a test that will mean I will be put on meds that are cheap? If so cost effectiveness is saying just take the meds incase?

If there are issues on the Thrombophilia screen they will put you on low molecular weight heparin, a lot of people have this anyway though so you could just ask to add it in. The nk cells are a tiny part of reproductive immunology and just adding in steroids without looking into this properly isn't great idea. But looking into it and treating it properly will cost several thousand.
