Hi @MrsSab - I'm so so sorry to hear this happened to you - I can only imagine how distressing it had been. Although I've not experienced it I didn't want to read and run. Do you know if they did conventional IVF or ICSI?

@MrsSab Hey. Firstly I'm terribly sorry and I do hope you are okay. This is my fear too. I havent started my cycle yet I will be getting a date on Wednesday and I am so scared.

Personally think it would be something to discuss with your medical team. Did you have a short/long protocol? Did you have IVF or was it ICSI?

Sorry to hear that @MrsSab it is really hard getting that kind of update. I had the same update earlier this year, we only had 2 mature eggs out of 4, of which both had failed fertilisation (one didn't fertilise at all and the other abnormally fertilised). Was this normal IVF or ICSI? It may be that ICSI would be suggested for your next cycle, not sure if your OH is on supplements but that can also help to improve fertilisation perhaps alongside ICSI

thank you for consolation, actually it is not easy especially I was very optimistic this time (since it is not the first cycle), it was an IVF.

and honestly I didn't hear about ICSI before until you mention it, even my doctor didn't talk about this procedure, I just google it and realized that ICSI would be more beneficial than IVF in our case, unfortunately I think it is was the clinic fault.

@MrsSab it may be worth querying that with them and perhaps do some more tests before starting anothet cycle
