I was always told we would be shown how to use our drugs but clearly not .we're expected to learn online.
Can I please run over this as I find it all confusing.
They want me to take noristherone starting on cycle day 21 ( currently 13)
Then they want me to take bemfola 150iu at 6pm for only 3 days and then centroide at 7am for 3 days. Does that seem about right ? Only 6 days I total ? This isn't what the demonstration video in our treatment plan showed. I thought we'd be on meds for longer. Unless it's something to do with ours being short ? Which means they haven't updated our treatment plan correctly to reflect this. Im going to message nurses but wanted some mumsnetters advice as to be honest I find it difficult to follow what the nurses are saying. They don't explain anything clear and it's always long messages that baffle me. They also first messed up our consent forms and put us down for fresh transfer when we're having a freeze all so they had to amend this. I just want to check now with those of you who've done this that this seems right

Also , they haven't said at all what happens after norissterone. Am I supposed to have a bleed or not

Hey. I can't help with the noristherone (?) as I didn't use this for short protocol. However I did use Bemfola and Fyremadel (believe this is similar to certotide).

I took Bemfola for a total of 11/12 days and from day 5 or 6 added in the Fyremadel. So from day 5/6 I was injecting Fyremadel in the morning and Bemfola in the evening until day 11/12.

I wonder if they've just prescribed a initial amount for now until they scan you again through the process, as they may at that point change your doses?

Either way, I would definitely recommend getting in touch with your clinic to fully clarify exactly what you'll need to take and when, and for how long. Good luck! X

I started benfola on cd2, my first scan was cd5 and they added cetrotide on cd6. I srimmed for 9 days in the end. I've not take norithestone but I think you'd have a bleed. I had to call my clinic on cd1 to let them know my cycle had started.

I did my injection 'teach' over zoom but also had videos which were helpful.

Have you already got your meds? I had about 6 injections then they monitored my dose after scans and bloods, so needed extra from the clinic. Good luck

I had to call when I started norethisterone, so they could tell me when I needed to stop it. Then I had a withdrawal bleed, and started my stims on Day 2 of that cycle. I’d give your clinic a call and double check with them as for me, norethisterone is to have a degree of control of when you period will be to plans stims/scans etc but it may be used differently in different protocols so double check with them ❤️
