Hi, I know these lines are beyond faint. I'm on my 2nd FET and my last transfer was a chemical pregnancy and my lines were darker than this at 7dpt.

Has anyone had super faint lines at 7dp5dt and gone on to be pregnant?

I know I'm clutching at straws here, just looking for some hope please.

They're clearblue 6 days early and a FRER.

Can't see anything I'm afraid, but it's very early days!

Sj2505 · 16/09/2023 08:35

Wanted to keep this thread updated as I have spent two days scouring the internet for full stories on faint lines!
My line yesterday (8dp5dt) was still a barely there squinter, so I took yesterday off work, laid on the sofa and cried most of the day.

I am now 9dp5dt and these are my tests from this morning 🤩
I know it's still early and they are very faint, but I'm hoping we just had a later implanter 🤞🏼
The digital has massively restored my hope, for now.
I will update again on OTD 13dp5dt

Oh yeah I definitely see them on those ones! Congrats!

Sj2505 · 17/09/2023 22:09

Thank you. I'm still very cautious about getting too excited. But the tests were slightly stronger again today! I really hope this is our lucky one 🤩🤞🏼
I've read not to worry too much about the day but the progression!

I couldnt see anything on your first tests, but I also know how tests dont phograph well when the line is such a squinter! But your 9dpt lines are pretty evident! Sure, faint, but clearly there!

Congrats! Hope its a sticky one!

Sj2505 · 18/09/2023 12:35

@ASGIRC thank you! I hope so too 🤞🏼

Just thought I'd pop along and update as I know how frustrating it is coming across incomplete threads.

Obviously I started getting super faint positives at 9dp5dt.
They have progressed, albeit slowly!
I am now 20dp5dt and I am officially pregnant (supposedly 5w4d), however I have serious concerns over its viability since we've had such slow progression and late implantation.

We have booked a private scan for this Saturday when I should be 6 weeks pregnant. I'll update the thread then.

I'll attach some pictures of recent progression.

Please let me know what you think.. is todays dark enough (2nd FRER. I've not had a dye stealer at 20dpt!)?
Any stories of late implanters, good and bad?

Another update.

I had a little cry earlier because I'm so convinced we are getting bad news on Saturday, like it's too far behind to where I should be to be viable and to expect a miscarriage soon - I just have such a bad feeling that's what they're going to say.

But anyway, whilst I can't control that right now, I did have a slight glimmer of hope this evening when I finally got 2-3 on a CB digi at 21dp5dt!! My tests always seem darker in the evenings. My last CB digi was 5 days ago (16dpt) and it was 1-2 weeks, so something has progressed in the last 5 days 🤞🏼

Just excuse me rambling to myself, I'm finding this useful as some kind of update diary and hope the updates help someone down the line!

Private scan update:

Unfortunately they couldn't find the pregnancy - Pregnancy of Unknown Location.
They said it could be one of three things

  1. Missed miscarriage - unlikely as my tests are still getting darker.
  2. Too early - unlikely as it was IVF so not a case of late ovulation (I'm holding out hope that the late implantation has impacted it, but I know I'm clutching at straws because it won't be THAT late that they don't see anything - surely?)
  3. Ectopic - he didn't see anything in my tubes but a pregnancy grows slower in the tubes so would still be tiny. Although I've had no pain or bleeding.

They have referred me to EPU. I am expecting a call tomorrow morning (Monday) with an appointment to go in. I assume for repeat scan and bloods.

This must be so stressful, I’m so sorry! Is ectopic even likely with IVF??

Sj2505 · 01/10/2023 17:44

Unfortunately so. They place the embryo the best they can but it can still migrate elsewhere.
It is very stressful, I'm so up and down. The not knowing is definitely the worst part! Hoping they call me first thing tomorrow.

Hiya. Just to say I really feel for you. I had a similar thing happen to me a year or so back and i found it so tough. But you’ll get through it whatever happens

Sj2505 · 02/10/2023 07:41

@GoldJules thank you! I'm so sorry you've been through it too.

Update:

Just had a call from EPU, I have to go in tomorrow morning and they will do repeat scan and bloods.
My tests are still just as dark and I've just got another 2-3 weeks on a clearblue. It's only been 4 days since my first 2-3 result, so I'm not surprised it hasn't progressed, and with all that's going on I wasn't expecting it to.

I will update again tomorrow.

Update:

Still none the wiser. Had a scan at EPU and they still couldn't see anything. They said my HCG was 900 though. Low for where I should be I think, but useless on its own regardless.
I go on holiday tomorrow, but I have my scan with the fertility clinic the day I come home next week, so will hopefully get an answer either way then.

If they still can't find anything but I'm still getting positives I'll have to go back to EPU.

I'm so sorry, this must be such an absolute nightmare for you not knowing anything one way or the other!

LAURAPAX · 03/10/2023 22:28

So sorry you are going through this @Sj2505 its really hard. Thinking of you and hope you manage to get some rest on your holiday xx

Sj2505 · 07/10/2023 08:47

Thought I'd update as I'm apparently 7 weeks pregnant today, 30dp5dt!!!
I'm on holiday and all is still very much the same. I have the same symptoms, tired, very sore boobs, gas and on/off nausea if I don't eat for longer than three hours!
My tests are still as positive as they were before and I've still not had any pain or bleeding.
I'm feeling a bit shitty about it all today tbh 😔 hopefully just a blip and I'll be back to being blissfully ignorant tomorrow.

Hopefully on Wednesday we'll get a final answer, but I'm trying not to wish our holiday away!

Just an update.
I came home from hospital yesterday and had my viability scan with our clinic on the way home. They still could not see anything anywhere, so because I had no pain or bleeding and was still getting positive tests they referred me to EPU again.
Fast forward to now, I've just come out of the EPU. My hCG has gone from 926 last week to 87 today. I have to go back in a week for another blood test as I won’t be out of the woods for ectopic until my hCG is under 20 - although she did say it's unlikely to be ectopic at this stage but possible.
She said it’s definitely a pregnancy that has failed and now all we can do is just hope for it to resolve itself.

I'm finding it harder to deal with the longer it drags on for, there's only so many times you can hear "there's nothing there". Talk about death by 1,000 cuts. I just want to be able to do my grieving and move on 🥺
Maybe next week...

I’m so sorry - I really hope you get the closure you need as soon as possible. I’ve been through two miscarriages including a MMC so completely understand how you feel. Keep speaking to your clinic and EPU. It’s so hard but you will get through it in time. Thinking of you xx

Sj2505 · 12/10/2023 18:24

@LAURAPAX thank you so much. I really hope it's low enough to be considered negative next week. I don't know how much more I can take. I cry any time anyone looks at me.

Just realised my post was supposed to say "home from holiday yesterday" not hospital.

your HCG has reduced so I am sure it will go down again next week and you can start to move forward. You are strong and brave and will start to feel better x

Sj2505 · 12/10/2023 18:34

Thank you so much @LAURAPAX that really means a lot! X
