Cancelled Cycle - Ovarian Cysts

Hoping to find someone that's been in this situation... My second IVF cycle has just been cancelled due to the appearance of ovarian cysts at my baseline scan.

I had cysts on both ovaries, 5 in total with the largest 4cm. The clinic has said it's best to try again next cycle, I'm so disappointed! They have suggested taking the contraceptive pill from tomorrow to see if this helps prevent this happening again.

Has this happened to anyone? I'd be grateful if anyone can share their experience and how long it took for the cysts to clear 🙏🏼 x

I've had functioning cysts for a while, whilst its disheartening its the right approach else its money down the drain for you. Most recently a cycle was cancelled due to 4cm cyst. It didn't disappear or reduce in 14 days and so I was put on HRT for a month. Cyst reduced to 2cm and then fully disappeared. I've been on this journey a while, initially I'd rush through everything and now I wish I had taken my time. I did also have acupuncture at the same time which is known to reduce or eradicate cysts. @Rosequartzz Thank you for replying and for sharing your experience. You're right it is the best thing and I'm sure a month or two won't make a massive difference. Hoping the contraceptive pill will work for me or else it may be HRT for me too. Good luck with your journey 😊 x
