Advice about egg collection

Hi all!

Need some advice- currently on my first round of IVF.

And me and my partner had booked a holiday for Italy months ago... due to leave on Friday for the week (Fri-Fri.)

And my trigger shot is today, and egg collection is on Wednesday and due to have a

We're flexible to cancel... spoke to the hospital today, and they think it's ok to go, and just come back a few days early...

What do you all feel? Sorry, I know it seems such a trivial problem... Just didn't expect to start the IVF process so quickly on the NHS.

If your egg collection is Wednesday your transfer would be on Monday which means you'd have to get back on Sunday (unless you're having a frozen transfer?), I would cancel it and re book if you can for a better time, if you're having a fresh transfer

I would postpone the holiday if the plan is for a fresh transfer. If egg collection is moved it could be stressful. If you go abroad and then there is travel disruption and you can't get back the stress will cancel out any relaxation you have had.
If your plan is a frozen transfer then I would probably go on the holiday.
