Period after failed fresh transfer - regular or delayed & FET process/timeline

Hi,

I had my first IVF fresh transfer and unfortunately it was a negative outcome, I have now had my withdrawal bleed and hoping to go ahead with a FET on my next cycle, I have a review meeting with my clinic on Thursday so can discuss this then.

My question being, for anyone who had regular cycles prior to IVF, after your withdrawal bleed did your cycle just continue as normal or was your next period early/late? If so by how much?

I'm looking to book a 4 day break away mid-late October. If I count my withdrawal bleed as the start of a cycle, I would get a period and be able to complete a FET during that time as I have regular 26-28 day cycles usually. I would be going away closer to OTD basing.

Also can anyone tell me what their FET involved, the time and things such as on injections/pessaries/scans?

Thanks

I cant say about cycles, but my natural cycle FET involved a scan on day 9 of the cycle (I had nothing there!), then hormone bloods to track LH, estradiol and progesterone on day 12, scan on day 13 (1 follicle measuring 14mm), then bloods and scan on day 15 (measuring 17mm). The bloods showed my LH was surging, so I took the trigger that night, started pessaries 2 days later, and the transfer was a week later.

So Id say week 2 of the FET was pretty full on, with regular visits to the clinic (it didnt even feel that was at the time, but writing it now... wow! LOL)

Obviously, different clinics (and doctors) have different protocols, but this was mine!
Hope it helps and you are feeling positive!
