Cyst?

I have been told I have a cyst in my right ovary.

I was told it may go after having a period, which they induced with provera. However it didn’t.

could this effect my ability to get pregnant? Can you not release an egg from an ovary with a cyst?

This just happened to me. My baseline scan showed a cyst; a repeat scan on day 1 showed the cyst was still there. They did a blood test to check if the cyst was dormant or not; it was dormant so they said they were happy to start the cycle and weren't worried about the cyst. I started the cycle and by my day 5 scan it was collapsed. That ovary only has one active follicle though this time whilst my other one has a few (but to be fair, even in my previous cycle that ovary only had 2-3 small follicles and was much slower than the other ovary); it is possible to have a dominant ovary.
