4dp5dt - negative, is there any hope?

I know, I know 4dp5dt is super early to test but I’ve seen so many people with positives at this stage I’m really losing hope :(

Any success stories of testing negative at 4dp5dt and then going on to get a BFP?

You havent seen "so many people" with positives at 4dpt.

It is DEFINITELY too early. up to 9dpt there is hope.

I tested on 4dp5dt and it was definitely negative. No sign of a line at all. Currently 18 weeks pregnant from that transfer.

@Superstorefan123 I've had three BFPs from three transfers (unfortunately two were miscarriage) but tested on 4dp with all of them, earliest I got a positive was 5dp. I can't believe you see many positives that early!! Fingers crossed for a positive soon 🤞

Thank you all for talking some sense into yesterday! I tested again this morning with a much calmer mindset and got my BFP! Unfortunately this is my 4th pregnancy (all unsuccessful) so trying not to get too ahead of myself, but for today - I am pregnant!

@Superstorefan123 I did the same on sat and was devastated BUT got a positive today at 7dp5dt!! Cried my eyes out. Congratulations 👏 🎊 my otd is sat. But will probably test again on Thursday.

Hi everyone, I’m in the same headspace as the OP was so I’m glad I’ve found this thread. My hope and excitement has just drained today 4dp5dt. BFN and no symptoms at all.

I had a terrible cramp yesterday after going to the toilet. It radiated from front all the way round to my back. The nursing team have said it could’ve been a bowel cramp but I’ve never had this before and I’m terrified that I’ve done something to disrupt the embryo and the cramp was it being removed from my lining.

I’m also seeing lots of others on my cycle app say they had BFP at this stage. Just trying to hold out a few more days but feeling incredibly sad about it all

@Clarabelle10 I am 5dp5dt and got a BFN this morning, am also feeling really sad and down despite knowing it's early! So solidarity to you, when is your OTD?

I had a fresh transfer in January, and felt all kinds.of pains and twinges that felt like they could be implantation or anything. That transfer was a fail, and I made a point of being really aware of my body for weeks, and realised I day-to-day have so many random pains and cramps and twitches that usually you just ignore and forget. I'd think if your nurses are suggesting your cramps were bowel they probably are.

Really sorry you're feeling sad today, this process is no fun is it?

@Clarabelle10 sorry I meant to clarify, I really don't think you could have done anything to disrupt an embryo, so don't beat yourself up about it.

I think I’ve been a bit naive hoping everything will go right first time!

I've been the same, jt's only natural to be optimistic and hopeful, I still thought this second transfer would work too despite trying to not think like that!

My OTD is Monday.

Hey all, I’m 4dp5dt, bfn here, I know it’s early, but also feel like I’m out, I’m angry at myself for testing, but now will do it daily as just won’t be able to resist! I’m hoping for my bfp tomorrow, as my 2 ivf pregnancies I have had BFP on day 5 (one was twins resulting in miscarriage, 2nd was my 1 year old son)…. As hard as it is there is nothing for us to do other than sit and wait :-/ x

Hi @ExhaustedPigeon1988 I went through the same emotions on my 4dp5dt. I was upset and honestly just depressed all day. Fast forward to 6dp5dt and I’ve got a faint line! Also I’ve used the very sensitive early test from First Response. There is still time 💕

Thank you, yes what’s what I’ve used- nothing, but it’s always been day 5 previously, so praying for 2 lines tomorrow x
