I know there's no such guarantee but I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea anout how many eggs I could expect to collect. Just a guess really.
I'm doing short protocol to avoid ohss which I know coll3cts a smaller amount and I'm terrified i won't collect any. I'm starting stims in September.
I'm 38. 39 in April and I have pcos. Amh is 47.
Anyone in a similar situation. How many eggs did you collect

Hi @Whitew0lf , unfortunately no-one can give you this answer, even your clinic won't give you an idea till closer to the egg collection point as everyone reacts differently.

Also high egg numbers doesn't mean viable embryos. Not saying this to make you worry, just more being realistic

I have just completed mild IVF, 35 yo, AMH 16, no pcos, got 7 eggs, had a fresh day 3 transfer (currently I'm 2 week wait) and 2 in the freezer, but as I say everyone is different.

I did short protocol for same reason (although AMH only 26).

follicle growth scans showed a reduction in follicles - they went from 20 to 15 to 10 decent follicles over the course of stims.

we had 9 collected, 8 fertilised, 8 day 3, 5 day 5 embryos. 4 frozen and 1 fresh transfer day 5.

I was on Bemfola 150 which dropped down to 110 after a few days. Stimmed for 15 days total which I was worried about as average is only 10-12 days. Trigger shot was Suprecur which I vaguely remember being told doesn’t have the HCG hormone in which can make OHSS worse.

best of luck!
