Is it better to have a break between treatments ?

I am currently on clomid ( ovulation induction)
Nhs are ready for us to start ivf.
We can defer for upto 3 months if needed.
What I'm wondering is would it be better if I don't take clomid this month and give my ovaries a month's break before ivf?

Well I wouldn't skip the clomid, in case it worked and then you didn't need the IVF. You could if you want to leave a break between it and IVF.
Is the clomid doing anything? Has ovulation been confirmed?

@LongerthanMrTicklesarms yes , I've ovulated on all 4 cycles but have not go pregnant.
We have 2 cycles left and I was torn to continue those 2 cycles or move to ivf now, but I'm guessing if 4 cycles of clomid haven't worked then the last 2 would be unlikely also
