Ovulation bleeding on clomid

Hello everyone,

Just after some advice it's my first month on clomid and have just had a positive ovulation test- but on the same day had some bleeding- heavier than just spotting and freaked me out.

Has anyone else experienced this? Would love to hear some positive clomid stories if anyone would like to share!

Didn’t want to read and run - not on clomid, but had bleed this month on ovulation also, woke up to it after a peak test and a night of cramps. It does say it’s not uncommon… thanks google

Thank you for replying! I hope that is the case, I am always bleeding when I shouldn't be so I was hoping the clomid might sort that out but never mind. Have woken up this morning to a rise in temps so fingers crossed!

@Hopingforhappiness1 ahh that’s frustrating, I sometimes get streaks but this was my first ever wake up and notice something episode haha tmi sorry

trying since we got married Dec 2021 - 😞 secondary infertility as we have a 7 yr old.
so our next step i am hoping for is actually clomid or letrozole (I have pcos) I’m booked for appointment next week if period turns up!

Good luck to you! Clomid/ letrozole should hopefully do the job for you if you're not successful this cycle.

I don't have pcos and as far as I'm aware I do already ovulate, however I bleed to the majority of my luteal phase so going with the theory my ovulation isn't strong enough to produce enough progesterone. Who knows if this will work, I have 3 rounds of clomid to try and if not will have to move onto the scary ivf stuff!

I haven't experienced any bleeding however bleeding around ovulation is not that uncommon so it's probably nothing to worry about.
On a side note, a little spotting has been recorded as a side effect of clomid

The only time I had bleeding during ovulation (well the morning after a very painful ovulation overnight) was when I had an ectopic pregnancy.
