Our consultation was brief and rushed and not explained very well.
Were entitled to one round.

I'll be having low dose and fet as opposed to fresh due to ohss risk.
I'm just wondering, if the medication fails to give a response and it dosent stimulate follicle growth and collect any eggs , does that count as our one round? Or would they change the dosage?

Also
I'm assuming if they did collect eggs but they don't make it to blasts, that would count as a round wouldn't it

You'll need to ask them unfortunately as this varies between providers. Good luck.

For my NHS round, if I cancelled before egg collection I got another go. If I’d gone ahead with egg collection and not got any eggs/embryos, that would still count. But as PP said, best to check with them as it differs by area. It should all be in your consent forms though.

I had an abandoned NHS cycle due to a medication issue and concerns it affected stimulation. This was before egg collection. I was then allowed to have another go at stimulation the following month (I was advised if that was abandoned that would be our funded cycle). We got to egg collection but unfortunately did not get passed fertilisation stage so game over for us in that cycle. I think it does vary on the CCG's though

I’m NHS too and 1 round counts as egg collection complete and the embryos collected and fully used up.

I’m on my second NHS cycle, the first was cancelled due to poor reaction to meds, they continued again changing medication to full collection and retrieved follicles, 2 of which made it to 5 day blastocyst. Both follicles were transferred ant different times. Only once both them blastocysts were used was it classed as a completed round.

Second collection produced 5 5 day blastocysts, currently used 3 of the embryos and have 2 in the freezer. Again, this round will be complete only once either all embryos have been used or there is a live birth.

Good luck :)
