Naturally modified ivf 1 follicle am I crazy !

Hi everyone

So have been on the rollercoaster of ivf for around 2 years now and had no transfers yet as had to wait for all my egg collections first as clinic suggested this due to endometriosis . I've had 1 round of mild ivf, collected 1 egg this is on ice grade 4cc and then a few cancelled rounds due to cysts and poor response . 1 natural conception resulting in early miscarriage and 2 further rounds of naturally modified. Last round 1 egg collected fertilised through ICSI but arrested on day 1 I'm now ready for egg collection again and looks like 1 follicle and I've got it on my head this will end the same . Don't know what I'm writing this for probably to vent but has anyone been in a similar position or words of advice for me . Many thanks

Hi @Pinklady81 I am about to start natural modified so would be grateful to hear more about your experience. I have read quite a few on here have had success with natural modified with low numbers so you may find you are one of those! If you don't mind me asking what is your AMH and age? My AMH is 4.3 pmol and age is 37 not far off 38

Unsure what my amh is and I'm 42 so very very old!!!!

I am on my first round of short cycle IVF. I'm 43 next month. Very low AMH level 0.139. I have been doing 450 iu menofur for 6 days now. Last scan nurse said still no improvement. I am waiting for the doctor to tell me what is next. If this round is cancelled or continue to do medication for 3 more days.. 😢

@ka3rine I'm so sorry that's quite high drugs isn't it ? I was originally on mild but after 1 cycle my body didn't like it and wouldn't respond any more to it

Just an update, the doctor advices to continue the menopur for 1 more week and will assess back again next Friday. They want the follicles to grow to 16cm or something as right now they are small around 10cm and i have 5.

@Pinklady81 I wish I've read more on others who have the same or similar condition as I am, but I trusted that the doctor knows what she is doing. Anyway, I told her that most of the experience I've read online for my age and condition responded well on low stims. So that is what we are doing next cycle. I plan to rest for 3-4 weeks before starting a new cycle again.

@Pinklady81 My last scan is Wednesday where they only saw 1 follicle and a small cyst. After the scan I was told that we should just cancel this cycle. I got a followup appointment from the doctor Thursday and that's where we plan to do a low stims for the 2nd cycle. She told me when I am ready for a cycle to start I should just book a scan again but if I bleed before that then I should call them immediately.

I had a cyst on one of my cycles and abandoned it. Best of luck for next time @ka3rine x
