IVF - October thread

Hello!

Unfortunately I've just had another failed round and will be looking at another FET. From previous experience I think it's likely to be some time in October... would love some company from those who'll be on a similar journey / timeline to join me for the ride.

Bit about me, 1st round IVF with ICSI in March 23. Male factor, low count and very low morphology. From 13 eggs, only 5 fertilised, with ICSI make it poor fertilisation rate of 33%, had been told 70%. Was initially disappointed but lucky to have had three embryos. Didn't pgta test (wish we had now)

1st transfer tested positive 6dp5dt, but then a loss. Suspect not enough progesterone to support pregnancy but could have been a chemical. Tested DH for sperm oxidation and came back normal. Still not sure why fertilisation was so low.

Second transfer July 23, BFN. Extra progesterone added to 2x cyclogest with lubion x1 daily and bloods taken 6dp5dt and at a count of 34 confirmed lubion needed.

Now waiting for consultation 15/08 to plan next FET for last frostie.

. Would love to hear from anyone with any advice who may have been in a similar position. Hoping to learn / make changes to ensure success if we have to do another round in the new year.

Share your stories if you feel comfortable too!

Hello @charja100, it sounds like you've been through this mill :( I really hope this cycle works for you.

My quick back story - had 1 successful pregnancy where I naturally conceived my DS and since then had 4 miscarriages in a row. We decided to try IVF as we wanted to PGT-A test the embryos to avoid any more losses.

I had egg collection a couple of months ago where we collected 12 eggs (despite me having a low egg quality) and of those only 2 made it to blastocyst stage - with 1 passing the testing!

So we're now hoping to have our first FET at the beginning of October, so just waiting to see what happens next really. I have my nurse planning next week where they'll talk through all the meds etc. As we've decided to go for a medi acted transfer.
