11dp5dt faint line and ClearBlue 1-2

Good afternoon.
I am in a spiral of madness with my IVF journey.
I am 11dp5dt of my 7th and last transfer (second one from egg donor). I've hade 2 previous chemical pregnancies so I am completely freaking out.

I took a first pregnancy test at 9dt5dt and I got a faint positive on a Frer (with my last chemical I had a strong positive at 8dp5dt).

This morning, 11dp5dt, I wanted to buy another frer but it is impossible to find one in England. Not even on Amazon, so I bought a ClearBlue digi and a cheap one from the Co-op, Acutest Early sings. The digital gave me 1-2. I thought it should be 2-3 at this stage. The Acutest I thought it was going to be very faint or even negative considering it is not as sensitive (I am convinced I am having another chemical) but I have another faint line, but very very clear 😩

As you can see in the photo, the First Response and the Acutest have almost the same colour. I don't know what to think. If I had taken the Acutest 2 days ago, I think it would have been a lot lighter that the First Response. Does it mean that hcg has grown? Bit isn't it too late for a 1-2 on a digital?

My OTD is tomorrow and I am driving myself crazy 😩 please tell me something, bee honest with what you thing, I don't want false hope that will be crashed in a few days. Not again 😢

I went for a blood test this morning, but I will only have the result in 2 days.

P.S. sorry for any possible mistake but English is not my first language

Hey! It’s got to be the worst after having a biochemical, I’m not looking forward to after my next transfer 😢

I think it’s so hard to say just looking at line progression and unfortunately to get a confirmation you would need to do bloods to check the levels are rising properly. You may have implanted later hence why only getting 1-2 weeks.

I really hope it sticks around for you though and sending you positive vibes 🤞

Gardenlady543 · 31/07/2023 07:48

Hi @Charming81 did you take a picture of the frer in the 3 minute window, it certainly doesn't look like a faint positive in the picture but I know they dry darker. The weeks indicator I'm pretty sure it's weeks from conception rather than the traditional dating of pregnancies (which date the first week as the week from the period). So annoying that you can't get more frer! Can you get a hcg blood test?

Charming81 · 31/07/2023 07:59

Thank you both for answering.
@Ellenn I did a blood test yesterday but have to wait till tomorrow for the results 🤞🏻And I managed to find a frer on Amazon, it should arrive today

@Gardenlady543 I know it is from date of conception, theoretically I am 4+3 today, so third week after conception and I think it should say 2-3.

I have dome another of the cheap Acutest this morning. The line doesn't seem darker, but definitely bigger. Bottom one is today

@Charming81 12dp does look darker and presumedly that's wet, it will dry darker than it is now. To compare you need to take a picture of the wet test and compare the photographs, you can't compare wet to dry. At 12dp5dt you are 17 days post conception so it's only just over the 14 days and they can take a few days to change. Really you need to get a hcg blood test as that's the only objective way to assess.

Gardenlady543 · 31/07/2023 08:05

@Charming81 just seen you have done a blood test can you book in for another on Wednesday to look for the level increasing?

Charming81 · 31/07/2023 10:10

@Gardenlady543 I will take a picture again later. ClearBlue still says "pregnant 1-2". For the blood test I'll see if I can go on Thursday. Otherwise I can only go on Saturday

@Charming81 did you get your blood results back today? Was thinking of you I just had my transfer this morning so worried this might be me in a couple of weeks if it even implants x

ASGIRC · 01/08/2023 22:01

@Ellenn I had my transfer 2 weeks ago and Im still testing every 2 days, to make sure the line is not getting any lighter! So, you know... It kinda stays with you!!!
Congrats on your transfer!

Ellenn · 01/08/2023 22:03

@ASGIRC im actually dreading it if it’s positive (sounds crazy) but when you’ve had a miscarriage and a biochemical with last two transfers I think my brain prepares for the worst….

congrats on your positive how exciting 🥰

ASGIRC · 01/08/2023 22:07

@Ellenn Thank you!!! I havent let myself become too excited yet... This is my first go at it, but you read so much about loss on these boards that even when things seem to be fine, you end up stressing about what ifs!

So Ive been testing, since the test havent maxed out on dye, so theyre still getting darker.

Whens your OTD?

Ellenn · 01/08/2023 22:18

@ASGIRC Yeh not going to lie I was really excited for my first and second transfers but I’m a bit neutral about this one 🫣 I’m sure you will be absolutely fine - have your clinic given you a scan date?

my official date is 15/08 so quite a bit to wait, need to think of things to distract me and make time pass faster 🤣 Don’t think I will bother with urine tests and get the medichecks beta so i at least know if looking good or not!

ASGIRC · 01/08/2023 22:23

@Ellenn yeah, my scan is on the 17th!
The 15th is a VERY long time away!!
My clinic had my OTD at 9dpt! Which came back as a decent beta result!

I tried to get one today, but was unable to, due to an event happening in my city which has circulation cut in loads of places, so the lab couldn't get the sample to the main lab for testing!

Charming81 · 01/08/2023 23:25

Thank you @Ellenn for asking. Yes, it was 135. Not very high but I was expecting less than 100.
I am the same as you. This is my 7th transfer, and after 2 chemical, when I saw the positive, I didn't have any reaction because in my mind I keep thinking it will end soon. I will repeat the beta on Saturday hoping to see a good number.
It seems impossible that something good might happen to me so I still can't be happy.

Good luck for your 2WW. The longest weeks of your life 🤣

Ellenn · 02/08/2023 06:11

@ASGIRC i know right🙈 I think it’s cause I did a natural cycle which they give you ovitrelle to take a few times to help your lining. I have another one to take on Friday so think it would cause false positives … hence why I’m not going to bother testing early it just ends up being super stressful

@Charming81 thats great news 🥳 I hope it continues to rise on your next beta. I’m in the same boat I wouldn’t be getting excited either at this stage but who knows maybe it will stick around. I’m sending positive vibes that it will stay in there. Let us know how it goes x

ASGIRC · 02/08/2023 07:25

@Ellenn ahh I did a natural cycle, but only had one shot of ovitrelle, a week before transfer.
I tested it out at 2dpt and it was clear. But if you're doing yet another shot, then definitely no point in testing.

@Charming81 congrats on the beta! I think anything over 100 is a positive sign! Fingers crossed for you next one!

Ellenn · 02/08/2023 07:35

@ASGIRC yeh I thought a natural cycle I wouldn’t have anything but had to take ovitrelle 3 days before transfer, day of transfer And then 3 days after! Are you hoping to get another beta test? They have said I will be on lubion if I get a positive which I’m not looking forward to as heard it can be quite sore!

ASGIRC · 02/08/2023 07:38

@Ellenn I only took the 1 ovitrelle shot. And then the progesterone pessaries , which I'm on 6 a day!!
I was hoping to get a beta this week, but I can't get to a lab in the morning and my local lab, which is also open in the afternoons, can't do afternoon samples, as this week they can't get them to the lab due to an event with the pope, and everything being shut down...

So maybe next week...

Ellenn · 02/08/2023 07:45

@ASGIRC oh no! how inconvenient. hopefully by next week you will have super high levels 😁I hated those pessaries! so messy and ruined many a good pair of pants 😂made me have a clear out though!

Charming81 · 02/08/2023 08:01

@Ellenn I was terrified about using Lubion as everyone says it is horrible. Well, I do ot subcutaneous on upper thighs and I don't feel a think. Zero! What I find painful and I an full of bruises, is the heparin.

@ASGIRC I keep my finger crossed but it just seems impossible!

I have done another of the acutest from Co-op this morning and the line is darker 🤞🏻

@Ellenn Super inconvenient!!! 😂Damn Pope!!! The whole city is disrupted until Sunday, and theres like 1 million (actual numbers) young catholics from all over the world here for the event!

Yeah, will need to do some maths to figure out what the levels would be like next week, but yeah, hopefully theyll be sky high!

@Charming81 That is much darker!!! It is evolving so far!!!

Loz2467 · 19/09/2023 13:03

Can anyone help! I was so so sure that my third FET just failed. I did a test this morning at 11 dp 5dt just in mind to stop meds and I got this…. I think it looks light for 11 days past a 5 day transfer? I tried again with an early detection and barely got a line but I’d had 2 drinks by this point? I’m too scared to go and get HCG done and I can’t locate any first response tests at the minute: will have a look on my way home from work.

That's a clear positive. Congratulations!

Loz2467 · 20/09/2023 08:03

@Holskey it’s not looking good this morning :( I used 2 more sensitive tests to pick up from 10mu and they are really faint. Must be a chemical sadly.

@Loz2467
Ah it's tough, because they are obviously picking up elevated hcg, but they are faint for 12dp5dt (I wouldn't compare to previous tests though because they're different types). I guess you have to wait and see to be sure of anything, but I understand you not getting your hopes up. Hoping for the best for you 💐

hi i know this is an old post I am in the same position as you, please how was your outcome? I hope all is very well
