I am not sure whether it was the supplements, or lifestyle changes, or a combination of both…
My husband had a 0% Morphology in July 2024. All other parameters in range. 100% Tapered heads and no normal forms seen.
He started taking a vitamin (not fertility specific just boots generic adult multivitamin)
I had read that tapered heads is often caused by heat. He started being more conscious about how much time he was spending sitting (desk job, film nut, gamer and we have a cat who loves to sit on him)
By November 2024 he got 4% morphology as part of the GP referral.
The wait between steps for GP/ Hospital Clinic and finally to Care Fertility turned me into an obsessive micro manager, the poor man hasnt had a moments peace if there was a hit the temp of his crotch might increase.
No hottub or baths
No cat on his lap ever
He has been reluctantly coming for a walk with me at lunch time when working from home.
He had already cut his alcohol consumption to an occasional single beer. Switched to 0% only around March 2025.
I also found some very loose (he says they’re ugly) boxers which he has been wearing instead of his usual more fitted ones. When working from home he has been wearing PJs or shorts without pants.
That all started in February, in June when we first saw the consultant at Care Fertility he suggested Impryl or Proxceed. We bought Proxceed.
We had another sperm analysis in July 2025 just before my egg collection and his morphology was 7%!
Definitely worth considering some changes to unorthodox areas of life, I am personally blaming the cat. He would work and game with the cat on his lap most days, their body temp is 40•c so this makes the most sense to me. All the supplements seem to contain the key things, NHS recommended Proceieve, then Care said Imryl or Proxceed so go with your budget I think.
