Consistent thin uterus lining (FET)

Wondering if anyone is on the same boat as me. Had 1st egg collection in July 2022, followed by 4 FETs, the 4th going ahead and not sticking:
1st attempt medicated - thin lining, canx cycle
2nd attempt natural - got thick enough to then bleed after ovulation, canx cycle 3rd attempt modified natural - thin lining, canx
4th attempt modified natural - thick enough, but didn't stick

I had 2nd egg collection in March 2023 and currently on day 12 of FET,another modified natural. My lining was 5.9mm on Wednesday and today it is 5mm. They do not understand how it has shrank as I haven't bleed. I am waiting to hear back, but highly expect the cycle will be canx again.

I had a hysteroscopy in May and nothing was found. Are there any other tests they can do that people have had? I have increased my exercise, tried pomegranate juice, brazil nuts, larginine . I tend to eat very healthy, but I am a little over weight (BMI 27.5), which is down to PCO/PCOs, I find it very difficult to lose weight, especially giving I work out 6 days a week.

I am coming to my wits end of this and want to give up now. Clearly I am not meant to be a mother.

@SadieBarts im sorry to hear your going through this. I had a transfer in November which then ended in mmc in January. I then tried to do a fet in feb and March but it kept getting cancelled due to thin lining even when on Estrogen injections to help increase it did nothing.

in the end I took April off and was recommended a hysteroscopy to check for scarring. I asked to try one more fet beforehand and amazingly my lining finally got thick enough. It was a completely natural fet and I really think having a break from all the drugs and injections is what my body needed to right itself and then get lining thick enough by itself.

not sure if you have tried it but maybe have 1 or 2 months off ivf with no drugs at all then try for a natural and see. (I also drank all the wine when I thought my cycle which ended up going ahead was going to be cancelled so maybe I relaxed about it all a bit too).

hope this helps sorry I can’t give anything more. It really is devastating having cycles cancelled over and over so I really feel for you! Sending love. Xxxx

Thanks for replying. The last load of medication i was on was in March for egg collection, so not sure it's that. History repeating itself.

They called and cancelled it, so now have to contact them again on day 1 for a new protocol which is going to be discussed. The nurse did say possible chance of transfer on thin lining, but I refused as its my last funded cycle ☹️

Hello my lining has been thin. I've had 1 child who is 4. Then 3 miscarriages from natural conception and 2 failed transfers.
My clinic gave me a modified natural cycle to try and help me conceive naturally which I then decided to swap mid cycle to a FET as the lining was looking better (7.1 at ovulation) .I took sildenafil until ovulation then I took oestrogen only for I think 3 days then added in the progesterone a day or so before transfer. By the time I got to the transfer which was 6 days post ovulation lining was 9.7mm. I had a transfer on Sunday and got a BFP this morning. I have to say the sildenafil made me feel awful. I do think the oestrogen worked better as it did more in those 5 days.
I have heard the lining can compact so that might be why it's reduced. The thin lining is so stressful. Oh I also drank pomegranate juice each day and had some pineapple as I read that helps!

I managed to increase my lining using mild stimulation with menopur, but the cycle got cancelled due to other reasons. It reached around 10.
Also sildenafil pessaries thickened it quite nicely.
For my next transfer we will try Letrozole and perhaps some small doses of Ovitrelle to keep the lining thick after ovulation.

I've always had problems with my lining. I had the Endemetrio test done and the results showed I had a displaced implantation window and the microbiome was slightly "off". The doctors words not mine!

I had a course of vaginal probiotics and we transferred later the following cycle. I also had steroids and blood thinners on the next cycle as well as a progesterone blood test on transfer day.

Incredibly, with the changes, my cycle worked (fourth time lucky!) and I'm now 15 weeks pregnant.

Google - The EndomeTRIO test aims to analyze a woman's endometrial health in a very comprehensive way. To do this, we need to do an endometrial biopsy from which 3 different tests are performed: ERA, EMMA and ALICE. Each of these tests provides relevant information on the condition of the endometrium

Thanks for replying all. Good to hear there is other medication they can put me on. Not sure how many cancelled FETs I can go through.

@SpringtimeGirl I am having issues with my lining and this cycle my doctor put me on Sildenafil + Trental. I have to break the Sildenafil into 4 and take it vaginally every 6 hours. This might be too much information, but I am worried about there being a build-up of the Sildenafil. I also have been feeling quite rubbish on this medication. Did you have any issues with the Sildenafil? I also hope your pregnancy has gone smoothly x
